The Air Strike is a Consumable in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Season 9.
Functionality[]
When thrown, the air strike would mark a location, and play loud siren noises to warn players of the upcoming strike. After this, 20 missiles will rain down from the sky in quick succession, damaging players and structures.

Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.- The Air Strike is best used to destroy buildings and drain an opponent's materials or remove their cover.
- Its usually best to throw the Air Strike into a window to make sure the grenade lands near the center of your target.
- Air Strikes are especially effective in areas where moving quickly is difficult, notably in city-like POIs.
- The area where the Air Strike's missiles will land is very limited and easy to move out of. Try not to deploy Air Strikes in open areas.
- If your opponent is stuck in an enclosed area, such as in a small valley, throwing an Air Strike down at them can allow you to pick up an easy elimination or get high damage on your opponent.

- Update v10.00: Vaulted the Air Strike.
Chapter 2: Season 3[]
- Update v13.20: Patched an issue with the Air Strike in which missiles did not land in the targeted location. The item is still Vaulted.
Chapter 3: Season 2[]
- Update v20.00: Air Strike adjustments. The item is still Vaulted.
- Damage decreased from 75 to 50
- Structure Damage increased from 200 to 400
- Increased the speed of the missiles
- Decreased the number of missiles from 30 to 20
- Increased Range.
- Update v20.30 Hotfix: Unvaulted the Air Strike.
Chapter 3: Season 3[]
- Update v21.00: Vaulted the Air Strike.

Trivia[]
- Prior to Chapter 3: Season 2, The Air Strike only existed for less than three weeks in game before being vaulted.
- It is very similar to the Air Strike Gadget in Save the World, except with a throwable item and a larger, and slower explosion period.
- The Air Strike was in development since Season 2, having had multiple iterations since then: a laser rifle, a backpack, and a grenade; which served as the basis for the finalized version.
- When it was a grenade it was an Uncommon Item.
