Overview[]
After The Confrontation Event, the Spirit Realm portal began emitting golden energy, drastically altering the surrounding area. Around the same time, Baron Fletcher Kane, an acquaintance of Midas, saw an opportunity and seized control of the newfound gold. To exploit this resource, Kane founded Alpha Mining Company, securing a monopoly over gold extraction in the Shiny Shafts mine. With his growing wealth, he established multiple banks across towns and major cities, including one in Crimson City, a city founded by him. His ambitions didn't stop there—he also constructed a luxurious resort and a grand mansion, cementing his status as the Island's crime kingpin. However, his vast reserves of gold soon attracted the attention of rival criminals, who flocked to Crimson City, turning it into a hotbed of lawlessness. As crime surged, the city's identity shifted, earning it the new name: Crime City. A brutal power struggle erupted between Kane and the criminal underworld, igniting an all-out war for gold.

History[]
Chapter 6: Season 1[]
Gold began seeping from the Spirit Realm portal, the same one Daigo used to free Jade and battle Shogun X. Jade sensed that this gold would only bring conflict, disorder, and destruction. Meanwhile, Goldie hinted that someone from Midas' past was making strategic moves.[3]
Chapter 6: Season 2[]
Fletcher Kane wasted no time securing the gold by establishing his Alpha Mining Company, which began extracting resources from their Shiny Shafts Mine. With his newfound wealth and kingpin status, he founded several banks across towns and major cities, including one in Crimson City, a settlement he personally established.
Meanwhile, if not prior, Fletcher Kane meets up with Daigo, forming an alliance with the Alpha crew under the agreement of granting each other power and access to the Spirit Realm.
In addition to his financial empire, he built a luxurious resort and a grand mansion for himself, which completely wiped out the main residence of the River Guard at Lost Lake. Kane also took control of the Port-a-Potty's, having them redesigned to cost 50 Gold. However, his immense wealth soon attracted the attention of criminals, including The Outlaws, who flocked to Crimson City and turned it into a lawless zone. Eventually, the city earned a new name: Crime City.
Meanwhile, the Alpha Guards set up base around Oninoshima and secured its Forecast Towers and the Train, upgrading it with the wealth of Fletcher Kane to have turret protection. Over by Shogun's Solitude, Kendo and The Brat defeat some of these guards and realize they have Daigo's masks of power.[4]
Wanted: Skillet[]
Fletcher Kane's vaults start getting robbed by Skillet and The Looper. Skillet helps The Looper sabotages Kane's payphones limit reinforcements for Valentina's heist. Kane's personal safe is broken into by Valentina, who teamed up with The Looper, telling them to distract the Alpha Guards on standby. Valentina has Kane's gold split between her, The Looper and Skillet, willfully leaving behind the dog collars and puppy chew toys in the safe.
Baron Escalation Tax[]
Soon after Joss's studies and research about gold and its impact on the Island, the Baron Fletcher Kane started to apply extremely high taxes (100%) on all Alpha services, including Alpha's Outlaw Port-A-Potties and Outlaw Vending Machines, as well as on Joss, Keisha Cross and Skillet respective Outlaw Vending Machines, generating considerable price inflation on the island.
Wanted: Keisha Cross[]
As Cassidy Quinn is preparing a heist as Outlaws were ordered by Midas to keep Kane bothered and busy, her best friend Keisha Cross contacts The Looper. Testing their abilities first, she send them help Cassidy. Agreeing to help Cassidy steal Kane's personal Whiplash, both go to his personal garage, whose keys Cassidy had already stolen. The Looper and Cassidy enter the car, with the former taking the wheel, and run away with it, while talking.
Later, The Looper went to spy on Kane's communication. Spying on communication, they hear Kane react to their recent heist with Cassidy, then discover things such as Kane delivering gold to Daigo, Midas being on the move and a mysterious machine being installed at Daigo's workshop.
Espionage continues[]
Continuing to spy on Kane's communications, The Looper learns about the latter wishing to put an end to Midas. Then, they learn move about his involvement with Daigo, the latter being given enough authority to command Alpha guards, and his workshop being protected by them. They also learn of the arrangement between the two: Fletcher provides Daigo with gold, so that he can give him the power he promised him.
Wanted: Baron[]
Midas sent The Looper to investigate Kane's plan, first sending them to Lonewolf Lair, where they found files concerning research on the Zero Point Shard, which worried them. They then searched Kane's vault, noticing the significant absence of bars. They then found a mysterious mask hanging on a wall, which The Looper quickly made the connection.
Midas then asked The Looper to gear up with suitable equipment to take Kane down, as part of his plan to take him down because he needed The Looper alive in order to win. After that, he sent them to take down Kane's lieutenants, knowing they were carrying orders, and hoping that one of them had received secret orders. Reading the orders, they realized that the gold was being given to a secret collaborator, whose identity Midas easily guessed.
Seeking to verify if his intuition was correct, Midas sent The Looper to attack the convoys to find out where they were headed. Learning it was indeed the Mask Workshop, The Looper was sent investigating it. Arriving at the scene, the dark fog made their skin tingle, and they guessed that the Island itself wasn't happy with what Daigo had done there. Descending into the secret lair, they found the dark mask-making machine, which seemed to have been used for something sinister. Then, continuing their search, The Looper discovered what Daigo had done with Kane's bars and went to report to Midas.
Reporting their discoveries to Midas, the latter understood Kane and Daigo's plan: Daigo had been supplying Alpha with masks and promised Kane ultimate power. With Kane's gold, Daigo made a mask powerful enough to breach the spirit realm and collect the Zero Shard. While noting Daigo will likely betray Kane if he succeeds, Midas notes that they absolutely must be stopped, even if it meant collaborating with The Looper's "hero" friends.
Daigo's Fate Event[]

Escorted by Kane, Daigo once again heads to a Dragon Portal—this time in Magic Mosses—and begins siphoning energy from it, albeit on a much grander scale, using the sinister mask's enhanced power. By now, Daigo is considered fallen in the eyes of The Night Rose,[5] Kendo,[6] and even Jade,[7] though he still believes he's acting for the greater good.[8]
Busy with the ritual to open the portal, Daigo orders Fletcher Kane, instructing him to deal with The Looper [9] to stop their interference. Upon Kane's failure to stop them, Daigo expresses his annoyance,[10] retreating through a void tear.
On his final attempt, while Fletcher Kane was defeated by The Looper once and for all, Daigo managed to finally open the portal—betraying and abandoning his ally to his fate, calling it pragmatism as he alone could enter the Spirit Realm. After, Daigo crossed into the Realm, only to be corrupted by the Darkness and turned into a new demon by a Demon Mask of the same kind as The Puppeteer.
Trivia[]
- Lost Lake's statue can still be found outside the vault of Lonewolf Lair.
- While Daigo isn't part of the organization, the unofficial balance of power in his partnership with Fletcher Kane establishes him as the leader and Kane as his "Lieutenant".[11]
