Amban Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 2: Season 5.

Functionality[]

The Amban Sniper Rifle is a single shot weapon utilized for longer ranges, when scoped in, the weapon has a high zoom, with a custom Thermal Scope, which highlights enemies within its scope.

The Amban Sniper Rifle fires a Fast Moving Projectile that is affected by gravity.

Amban Sniper Rifle can also be used as a Melee Weapon by not scoping in, dealing 45 damage and 110 structure damage with a slight knockback against players and Vehicles.

The Amban Sniper Rifle is very effective in darker areas due to its built in thermal scope, and also has a much higher zoom scope than the IQA-11 Marksman Blaster Rifle, allowing you to take shots at opponents at much farther ranges without being seen.
Keep in mind that the Amban Sniper Rifle can one shot fully shielded enemies in every rarity in Builds: In Zero Build, it can only one shot in Legendary rarity.
The Amban Sniper Rifle is unique in that it doubles as a Sniper and a melee weapon, allowing you to get space between you and an opponent should they engage you in close quarters.
Keep in mind that the Amban Sniper Rifle only can fire one round before having to cooldown, so having an Assault Rifle such as the A280-CFE Blaster Rifle or DC-15 Heavy Blaster Rifle to swap to after taking a shot with the Amban Sniper Rifle can be beneficial.

Counters[]

LIke the IQA-11 Marksman Blaster Rifle, the Amban Sniper Rifle has sniper glint. Watching for sniper glint and staying behind cover can massively reduce the effectiveness of an opponent's Amban Sniper Rifle.
The Amban Sniper Rifle can only shoot once before having to cooldown, so having a weapon that can fire fast or has a larger effective magazine size can be beneficial against an opponent using it.

Amban Sniper Rifle is the only Sniper Rifle which cannot be hip-fired, and one of the few weapons which has different stats/functions on hipfire.
- Its hipfire function does not use any ammo.
If the player is in Performance Mode, the scope will not have its Thermal Vision when scoped in.
Amban Sniper Rifle is used as a Pickaxe by The Mandalorian Boss. It cannot be used as such by the player.
- The TBD Pickaxe's PID is Pickaxe_ID_TBD_CosmosWeapon and it's rarity is Rare when viewed through developer accounts.
