The Armored Battle Bus is a Battle Bus that’s… ready for battle. This intimidating metallic machine has just about all the fixins: Chonkers tires, a Cow Catcher for extra ramming power, and a Light and Heavy Turret.
Update v20.00 Patchnotes

The Armored Battle Bus is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was first introduced in Chapter 3: Season 2 through Donation Stations.

Functionality[]

The Armored Battle Bus can hold 7 players: 1 Driver, 2 Front Seats, 2 Rear Seats and 2 Gunners. The Armored Battle Bus will spawn with Chonkers and a Cow Catcher. The Driver has full control of the vehicle and is able to drive forwards, reverse, brake and also boost. This boost enables the vehicle to move forwards at a great speed or damage players with ease.

The passengers can shoot, heal, emote and crouch whilst on a seat of the Armored Battle Bus. There are two Seven turrets on the top of the Battle Bus: a Seven Anti-Vehicle Turret in the front and a Seven Anti-Personnel Turret in the rear. These Turrets can be used to damage structures, enemies and vehicles.

Strategy Guide[]

Calculated - Emote - Fortnite This section outlines a strategy.
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

For Using[]

  • The Armored Battle Bus will always spawn with Off Road Tires for off road movement.
  • Be careful driving the Armored Battle Bus on uneven terrain as it can easily get stuck. If it does happen use Shockwave Grenades to set it free.
  • The Armored Battle Bus has the highest fuel consumption of all cars so be sure to carry a Gas Can.
    • Gas Cans placed on top of the vehicle will damage the gunners and the driver even if placed in the middle part when exploded, so it's better to just put it near the Light Turret to protect the driver at least.
  • Ramming an opponent when boosting will most likely earn an elimination as the enemy will be launched high in the air and deal fall damage.
  • The Armored Battle Bus with a Cow Catcher makes it easy to destroy buildings and gather the loot that has fallen.
  • If an opponent rides the Armored Battle Bus when you are driving, the enemy will take the Heavy Turret. Quickly switch to the next seat which is the Light Turret. The higher DPS of the Light Turret will eliminate the enemy if aimed properly. If you are with a team, warn your Light Turret gunner about the enemy.
  • The Armored Battle Bus can be a tide-turning resource for teams in Team Rumble.
  • The Armored Battle Bus is the only vehicle that can't be abducted by Saucers.
  • The Armored Battle Bus does not guarantee direct damage to the crew to Boom Sniper, Clinger, Heisted Explosive Assault Rifle, Explosive Repeater Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher and Grenade Launcher users when hit due to its length.

For Countering[]

  • The Armored Battle Bus has very high HP. Use a Heavy Sniper Rifle or a Boom Bolt as they deal the highest Vehicle damage of all weapons.
  • The passengers and gunners are exposed, so try aiming at them for the knock/elimination.
  • The driver's windscreen can be broken just like with a normal car.
  • Having a high ground will be an advantage as the Armored Battle Bus struggles climbing up steep terrain.

History[]

Chapter 3: Season 2[]

Chapter 3: Season 3[]

  • Update v21.00: The Armored Battle Bus receives a new festive coloring and a new icon.
    • The Armored Battle Bus is renamed to 'Party Bus' and it spawns in Sanctuary and Reality Falls.
    • The Armored Battle Bus no longer spawns with a Cow Catcher attached. It can still be modded with one.

Chapter 3: Season 4[]

Trivia[]

  • This is the second time the player can drive a Battle Bus. The first time was in The Devourer of Worlds Live Event, although it was in a much different context.
  • This is approximated to be the biggest "car" in Battle Royale.
  • When the vehicle's radio is on, the lights inside the Bus activate, as if there was a disco ball inside. The horn also changes when the radio is on.
  • The Armored Battle Bus is designated as Uncommon in the files, but like all vehicles, is Common when pinged or the player is eliminated by it.
  • It will play the OG Battle Bus Music when boosting. The music remains playing even if the game is paused in the Replay Client.
  • In Chapter 3: Season 3, even though that the Cow Catcher is in the vehicle's marked icon, it doesn't have a Cow Catcher in-game.
