Keycards are items in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that are used to open Vaults at a specific location. They were first introduced in Chapter 2: Season 2.
Functionality[]
Keycards are used to open Vaults situated at specific locations. Only the allocated keycard will open a specific vault. Simply having a keycard in the inventory when interacting with its designated vault will open it.
Keycards take up a slot in the Player's inventory. If held, they ping the location of the vault with a three-dimensional arrow in front of the player, every few seconds.

Chapter 2: Season 2[]
- Update v12.00: Introduced Keycards with the Agency, Grotto, Shark, Yacht and Rig Keycards.
- Update v12.30: The Yacht Keycard has now been replaced with a new Keycard for Deadpool. The Old Keycard can be obtained by eliminating Meowscles at The Box Factory and still can open the Yacht's Vault.

- Vaulted the Agency Keycard, Grotto Keycard, Shark Keycard, Yacht Keycard and Rig Keycard alongside their respective carriers.

- Added Dr. Doom's Keycard.

- Update v16.50: Added all Keycards, except the Agency and Yacht Keycards to Fortnite: Creative mode.
- Dr. Dooms, Stark Industries and Deadpool's Yacht Keycards are not added as they are collaboration ones.

Trivia[]
- The Yacht Keycard was the only keycard that could have been obtained twice in one game. Although the keycard had a difference design, it functioned identically.
- The Agency and Yacht Keycards are not present in Fortnite: Creative as they reuse the same icons as the Fortilla Keycard.
- The Fortilla Keycard was prioritised because the Agency Keycard got converted into The Authority Keycard. This can be confirmed by looking at their Item Ids.
- The Vault Keycard is the only keycard to be in three identical copies, dropped by several bosses and not to have the name of a POI.
- The Yacht Keycard and Forecast Tower Access Key are the first keycards to return after their initial season has passed.
