Automatic Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Season X.
Functionality[]
The Automatic Sniper Rifle functions similar to other Sniper Rifles, in that it is a long ranged weapon with bullets affected by gravity. It also has a scope for longer range engagements. However, the Automatic Sniper Rifle fires in a fully automatic configuration. Like other snipers it is extremely inaccurate when fired from the hip.

Automatic Sniper Rifles range from dealing 40 Damage per shot to 44 Damage per shot (160 - 176 damage per second). All Automatic Sniper Rifles use 
Medium Bullets. The Automatic Sniper Rifle has a headshot multiplier of 2.0x.

Strategy Guide[]
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle plays very similarly to a marksman rifle, and should be used in a similar manner.
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle utilizes bullet drop, meaning at medium and long ranges you'll need to lead your shots.
- This can be done by aiming ahead of opponents that are moving, and aiming above opponents that are distant.
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle has very little recoil, making it an excelent weapon for newer players to learn.
- Only hip fire the Automatic Sniper Rifle if you're less that 3 meters away from your opponent, as this weapon has horrible hip-fire accuracy.
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle excels at medium-to-long ranges where bloom-based assault rifles may struggle to land shots consistantly.
- Try not to challenge other Sniper Rifles while using this weapon, as most other snipers can deal over 200+ damage with a single headshot while the Automatic Sniper Rifle has to land repeated shots to pick up an elimination.
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle does not feature sniper glint, so you don't have to worry about being extra visible while aiming in with this weapon.

- Update v18.00: Unvaulted the Automatic Sniper Rifle. It has also been nerfed from 40/42/44 to 37/39/41.

- Update v19.00: Vaulted the Automatic Sniper Rifle in all rarities.

- Update v22.00: Increased Damage from 37/39/41 to 40/42/44. The weapon is still vaulted.

Trivia[]
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle is based on the Soviet VSS Vintorez. The real Automatic Sniper Rifle is also suppressed, whereas the in-game version is not.
- This would also mean that the Automatic Sniper Rifle should be a Marksman Rifle rather than a Sniper rifle. However, the weapon would need to be renamed as Automatic Marksman Rifle, which is unlikely.
- The Automatic Sniper Rifle is the only Sniper Rifle to use
Medium Bullets, and one of the few that doesn't use Heavy Bullets. - The Automatic Sniper Rifle has an unused Uncommon rarity version, added in Update v10.20.2, however this variant is only available in the Unvaulted LTM and Creative.
- This weapon was in the loot pool for the entire duration of Season X and Chapter 2: Season 8, both being the ending seasons of their chapter, and vaulted immediately upon the start of the new chapter.
