Boom Billy is an Uncategorized Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that added in Chapter 5: Season 4.
Functionality[]
Players can throw a Boom Billy and send down a hovering mini-Billy the Puppet. While thrown the Boom Billy will roam around the area very slowly going in circles until it finds a target. To which it will lock onto the nearest opponent and chase them after a short windup, detonating instantly upon getting close enough.
Only 2 Boom Billies can be present in an area, no matter the team that throws one. Anymore thrown down will be dropped as its unarmed item and armed Boom Billies will prematurely detonate if they don't detect an enemy after 2 minutes of being thrown.
