Brutus' Minigun is a Mythic Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was added in Chapter 2: Season 2. It is the Mythic version of the Minigun.

Functionality[]

Like the regular Minigun, Brutus' Minigun has no magazine limit, fires much faster than other Assault Weapons, and has a cooldown period if fired for too long. This weapon is not very accurate, and has a spin up timer, so it cannot fire shots instantly. Compared to the base version, Brutus' Minigun has a faster spin up time.

  • Due to the high DPS and increased structure damage of Brutus' Minigun, it is very useful for knocking down buildings.
  • Brutus' Minigun consumes a lot of ammo quickly, so make sure you have plenty of ammo before engaging an enemy.
  • Brutus' Minigun does not need to be reloaded, so when you do not need to shoot, wait for it to cool down by holding it out or using a different weapon.
  • Brutus' Minigun can be effective when paired with sniper rifles, marksman rifles, or assault rifles with scopes. Use Brutus' Minigun for close-to-medium-range encounters, then use the sniper, marksman rifle, or scoped AR for longer ranged engagements.
  • Keep in mind that Brutus' Minigun uses Light Bullets, meaning it uses the ammo usually reserved for SMGs. As such, keep track of your ammo count while using SMGs and this Minigun in the same loadout.
  • Despite its similarities to SMGs, Brutus' Minigun is not a good combo with a Pump Shotgun or similar weapon due to its long pullout and wind-up time.

  • Brutus' Minigun on first glance appears to be identical to the Legendary Minigun, although the change to its hidden stat of a spin-up timer is the difference.
  • A different version of Brutus' Minigun appeared in the Impostors LTM. It was used in the Target Practise task.
    • This version had no cooldown period and It used the WID_Boss_Hos_MG_Mole codename.
