Burst Rifles are fully automatic, burst-fire weapons. They have first shot accuracy, meaning the first shot when aimed down won't fire with bloom. They are also hitscan weapons, which mean the shots the player takes will instantly connect with targets.
Burst Rifles firing in bursts of three and deal slightly more damage than Auto Rifles.
