The Bush is a Consumable Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Season 1.
Functionality[]
The Bush is used to apply a bush to the player character which allows the player to crouch and disguise as a bush.
Whilst the Bush is active, the player can do everything they normally can and the bush will stay on the player. Whilst aiming down sights, the bush will go transparent for the player only, to allow them to see un-obscured.
The Bush will be removed when the player takes any damage, aside from Storm damage or fall damage. If the bush is shot at, it will absorb the bullet and stop the player taking damage
There is cuurently an issue where a shot was not always blocked when using the Bush.

- The Bush can tank a single shot, so if you are sniped by somebody, the bullet will be absorbed if it hits the bush, potentially saving your life.
- The Bush can infinitely save you from boogie bombs until someone hits you with a weapon.
- Despite its goofy appearence, the Bush should always be equipped when found since it protects you from damage.
- Try not to stand too close to structures while hiding with a Bush is equipped, since the model can phase through and reveal your location. In addition, the Bush can be shot off of you through structures like this.

- The Bush was not Vaulted for its entire inclusion in Chapter 1.
- The Bush was likely Vaulted in Chapter 2: Season 1, due to the overall item refresh, as well as the inclusion of much larger bushes across the map.
- Due to an oversight, the issue where a shot was not always blocked when using the Bush was fixed, only on the Chapter 4: Season OG Version.
