The Business Turret is an Epic Consumable in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was introduced in Chapter 4: Season 4.
Functionality[]
Once thrown the Business turret will lock and shoot at any opponent close by. After locking on it will shoot at the target for 7 damage until they are either eliminated, out of sight or the turret is destroyed.
The Business Turret has a range of 60 meters, so if the player moves farther away, it will lose connection and self-destruct within seven seconds. Placing down two turrets at a time will automatically destroy the first turret placed by the player.
The shots fired from the Business Turret are hitscan.

Usage[]
- The Business Turret is most effective in Zero Build playlists, as players in building playlists can simply place a structure to avoid being hit or scanned by the turret.
- The Business Turret is most effective against players who are partially exposed, since the turret will still hit the opponent even though they believe they're hidden.
- You can throw a Business Turret into a bush to check if there are any players inside. If there are none, you can just pick up the turret again and continue on your way.
- While using the Business Turret, continue to fight your opponent like normal. The Business Turret will reduce how much damage you need to deal by yourself, but it's not suited for eliminating opponents alone.
- Before fighting an opponent inside a vault or another enclosed structure, you can throw a Business Turret near the door to trap the opponent inside.
- Make sure to pick up Business Turrets again once you're finished with them for later use.
Countering[]
- Business Turrets can be avoided by ducking behind cover or building it yourself.
- Business Turrets can be disabled by throwing a Shield Breaker EMP or using EMP Stealth Camo.
- While being shot by a Business Turret, focus on eliminating your opponent rather than the turret. It will automatically disable and despawn after your opponent is eliminated.
- If your opponent is knocked after placing a turret, you will have to finish them off for the turret to despawn on its own.
