Cartoon Chainsaw is a Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 6: Mini Season 2.
Functionality[]
The Cartoon Chainsaw has 4 functions: Slash, Ground Pound, Sprint Slash and Rush Attack:
- Pressing the fire button will do a simple Slash Attack. Holding the fire button will perform a combo of four slashes, each dealing 75 damage, while pushing the user foward.
- Pressing the fire button while sprinting will perform a Sprint Slash. This attack is the same as a single Slash Attack, with it dealing 85 damage instead.
- Pressing the fire button while in the air will perform a Ground Pound, which deals 85 damage in a 3 meter radius.
- Holding the aim button does a Rush Attack, in which the player puts the Chainsaw into the ground, proppeling themselves forward. During this state, pressing the fire button or being in close proximity to an enemy will do a Sprint Slash. Rush Attack has it's own Fuel supply, which lasts 10 seconds, starts to regenerate after 5 seconds and fills up from empty to full in 5 seconds.

The Cartoon Chainsaw uses Fuel which cannot be obtained outside of the item's reserve and replenishes itself over time.
