The Ceiling Zapper is a Trap in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in the Pre Season.

Functionality[]

The Ceiling Zapper was a damaging trap that could have been placed on any player-owned or neutral ceiling structure. When an opponent entered the tile they a Ceiling Zapper was placed on, the trap activated, dealing damage.

Obtained[]

Ceiling Zappers could have been obtained from a variety of places. They were found as floor loot, in chests, and in Supply Drops. They dropped in stacks of 1 and stacked infinitely.

Stats[]

Ceiling Zappers deal 125 damage. They have a 5 second reset time.

  • The Ceiling Zapper can be used to damage or eliminate an enemy by boxing them in with one, causing the trap to activate and damage the enemy.
  • This trap makes an audible buzz, so it can be avoided by listening carefully. It also makes a toaster “ding” when first placed.

  • The Damage Trap serves as the replacement for the Ceiling Zapper and Wall Dynamo as it can be placed on all surfaces.
