This article is about the fifth season of Chapter 5. For other uses, see Season 5 (disambiguation). |
Chapter 2 Remix, also known as Season 32, Chapter 5: Season Remix[1], Chapter 5: Season 5, Chapter Fortnite: Remix, Season Fortnite: Remix, or just simply as Fortnite: Remix and Remix, was the thirty-second season of Fortnite: Battle Royale, and the final season of Chapter 5. The season began on November 2nd, 2024, and concluded on November 30th, 2024, with the Remix: The Finale Live Event.
The season was themed around traveling back to a new take on early Chapter 2 (primarily Chapter 2: Season 2, with elements of Chapter 2: Season 1 and Chapter 2: Season 3) as well as revolving around rappers and rap music.
It was the fifth and final season of Chapter 5.
Previously, in Fortnite...[]
After a new island was formed in Chapter 5: Season 1, Pandora's Box became the central focus of everyone on the island, including Valeria of The Society, Zeus of The Pantheon, and Megalo Don of the Wasteland Warriors. Hope, the leader of The Underground, actively attempts to stop each and succeeds with assistance from Jones and The Oracle, the latter of which sees her as the personified spirit of hope at the bottom of Pandora's Box.
During Chapter 5: Season 4, Doctor Doom opened Pandora's Box and attempted to use its power to take over the island and turn it into his own version of Latveria. He created a brand new set of armor in order to fully utilize its power, becoming Absolute Doom in the process. Hope, with the assistance of The Avengers and Loopers, all work to stop Doom before he can take over the island, of which they succeed. With the power of Pandora's Box weakened, Shuri uses a Rift Beacon to send Doom back to Reality: 616, leaving behind a portion of his mask on the island.
How Did It Start?[]
Main Article: Remix: The Prelude
A remaining Rift Beacon sat at Restored Reels and throughout the final days of Chapter 5: Season 4, would flicker more and more with new teasers added to or near the screen until November 1st 2024, when it would fully activate. The Beacon, along with a Rift Butterfly, brought Times Square within New York City to Helios, with Restored Reels' screen displaying a concert that featured Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice. After Snoop places a record on the turntable during the concert, the Rift Butterfly flys up to the sky with bright visuals leading to it, returning the Island's inhabitants to the Chapter 2 Island. A part of Midas' Crew also arrived in this Island however only possessed The Rig and The Yacht. Snoop Dogg built the complex called The Doggpound, which serves as the headquarters of his company and teamed up with various musical artists including Eminem and Ice Spice. Snoop Dogg also recruited agents from the Midas' crew to serve as bodyguards and for other missions. The Doggpound is run by a council composed of 9 members (although a seat is vacant for Juice WRLD), with 3 famous music artists: Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Ice Spice and 5 members of Midas' Crew: Meowdas, Chaos Director, Undercover Skye, 1-Ball, and Dynamo TNTina.
Storyline[]
Four audio cassettes were scattered across the Island, having been carried over from Helios. Each audio recording were of phone calls from Hope, who attempted to contact her sister Valeria to bid her goodbye as she was preparing to leave Helios in order to investigate her connection to Pandora's Box. However, Valeria never picked up. After hanging up the first time, Hope called Valeria again to update her on Peely and Jones; Peely is still friendly to her, but Jones retained some animosity. Hope continues to call Valeria to see if she would pick up the phone, to no avail. The final series of calls made by Hope reveals that she had disbanded the Underground, and that she had arranged a meeting between them and her sister, encouraging her to attend and begin to rebuild the Island. She also tells Valeria about the prophetic elements of her graffiti art, and that she would likely attempt more calls in the future.
Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Slim Shady, Ice Spice, Travis Scott, and Juice WRLD came together to put on a massive cosmic concert with the Rift Butterflies, which damaged part of the Apollo Island. Following the concert, a Rift Butterfly helped evacuate the Looper to a Japan-inspired Island, where they rendezvous with Hope and Jones. A mysterious object follows them from behind and crash lands on the surface of the new Island.
