Previously, in Fortnite...[]
To allow a safe extraction from Reality Zero for its inhabitants due to the fading Zero Point, Jones triggered The Big Bang by altering the events of Athena's destruction, which as a result spawned countless realities. Jones traveled to the Helios Island in one of these new realities, joining The Underground with Hope to oppose The Society, led by Hope's sister Valeria, who was on the hunt for Pandora's Box. Once Pandora's Box was unearthed, it began to be targeted by Doctor Doom, who is also known as The Wanderer, who assimilated its power to conquer the Island. Hope learns from The Oracle that she and Pandora's Box are intertwined in fate, allowing Hope to see the future with her graffiti art, but Doom had irreversibly altered their destinies due to his initial arrival to the Helios Island. With the aid of The Avengers, Hope was able to rift Doom away to another reality, taking Pandora's powers with him. Despite Doom's defeat, Hope and Jones decided to leave Helios in order to further investigate Hope's connection to Pandora's Box.
How Did It Start?[]
Main Article: Remix: The Finale
Several inhabitants of Helios, including The Looper, Jones and Hope were transported to an alternate reality similar to Reality Zero during the Chapter 2: Season 2 era. However, in this Reality the Island is controlled by musical artists Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, with each of them having taken control over certain locations that were formerly owned by the Agency, while recruiting the latter as guards. Juice WRLD also resided on the alternate Apollo, and after a month, he alongside the artists performed one large concert featuring several of their greatest hits. After-which, the Rift Butterfly sends The Looper through a wormhole where they are joined by Hope and Jones. Hope, Jones, the Battle Bus, and The Looper all go through the Rift in the wormhole, taking them all to Reality: 783. However, A mysterious artifact followed them out of the wormhole, which then fell towards the surface of a new Island named Oninoshima.
Storyline[]
The artifact crash-lands on Oninoshima, producing a shockwave that re-awakens the Island's long-dormant magic. Portals scattered throughout the Island are re-activated, paving the way for demons to invade. Hope and Jones— who left his shield behind on Helios— settle in the city of Hopeful Heights to look for the artifact, which they discover has characteristics similar to Pandora's Box.
In Part 1 of Story Quests ("Kendo's Calling"), The Looper meets Oninoshima natives Kendo and Jade, joining them to help defend the Island against the demons. Jade meets Hope, who is eager to learn more about the Island's magic. The three collect essence from fallen demons and deliver it to Hope, allowing them to learn more about magic and the nature of the demons.
In Part 2 ("Jade & The Mask"), Jade goes missing, and Kendo believes his brother Daigo is responsible. Kendo discovers that Jade is trapped in the Spirit Realm from a portal in Nightshift Forest, and he sends The Looper to Masked Meadows to investigate Daigo's hidden underground workshop. There, The Looper finds that Daigo had given Jade one of his masks, which were crafted from dark magic using energy siphoned from trapped Sprites. When they confronted Daigo, he claims no ill will, stating that Jade got herself cursed by the demons and that the mask he gave her was meant to protect her, but it only made things worse. A puzzled Kendo notes that only demons can cross into the Spirit Realm.
In Part 3 ("Splinters of Possibility"), Kendo investigates the artifact's crash site, only to find an empty crater. He and Hope find that splinters of the artifact had scattered across the Island, and Hope deduces that the demons are tied to them. Using the splinters, Kendo forges mystical Splinter Blades at Demon's Dojo before defeating the Puppeteer and momentarily releasing the Night Rose from her enslavement. He entrusts the Blades to her in hopes of saving Jade.
In Part 4 ("The Spirit Realm"), Hope investigates the crater and the mountains to examine remnants of the artifact's energy. The Looper collects demon essence from the demon leader Shogun X, and Hope discovers from it that the artifact is a Shard of the Zero Point. Meanwhile, the Night Rose had given the Splinter Blades to Daigo, who then retreated to his workshop and began trapping Sprites once more to craft six new masks using their energy. He then relocated to a temple south of Warrior's Watch with the masks, meditating outside a massive Demon Portal.
One by one, the masks began to activate, with Daigo beginning to hone in on Jade and the Shard in the Spirit Realm. The masks fuse into one, imbuing Daigo with increased strength. Before he can fully extract Jade from the Spirit Realm, she is forcefully pulled back in by Shogun X, who then confronts Daigo on Oninoshima as he attempts to drain the Loopers' souls. Although he is seriously wounded in the fight, Daigo uses the Splinter Blades to kill Shogun X, which causes his essence to overload the Demon Portal. Jade is freed from the Spirit Realm, but the Portal has left behind a pool of gold in its wake. She states that while trapped, she sensed a dark entity in possession of the Shard that knew her and her family, but was specifically targeting Daigo. She also believes that the pool of gold will bring "greed, fighting, and mayhem" to the Island.
Battle Pass[]
For the first time since its introduction in Season 2, the Battle Pass costs 1,000 V-Bucks instead of
950 V-Bucks. If you own a Fortnite Crew subscription, the Battle Pass will be automatically unlocked alongside the Music Pass, LEGO® Pass, and the OG Pass. Battle Pass levels require 80,000
or up to 100 rewards can be claimed for
150 V-Bucks each.
Battle Stars were discontinued from Battle Passes in favor of a rewards system similar to the one from the Battle Passes of Chapter 2. As the player tiers up, they are able to freely claim rewards as long as their respective page is unlocked. For standard Battle Pass rewards, tiering up by one level will allow you to claim one reward. For bonus rewards and Godzilla rewards, you can redeem one reward every two levels, with Godzilla rewards being structured in a more linear fashion compared to the rest of the Battle Pass. Quest rewards did not return to the Battle Pass after being absent in Chapter 2 Remix's Remix Pass.
