Character[]
Galactic Battle[]
Chewbacca was a friendly Character Boss hybrid introduced during Chapter 5: Season 2. He could have been found at one of three Imperial Outposts after Update v35.10.
Behavior[]
Chewbacca cannot be interacted with directly, instead he had a 33% chance to spawn at one of three Imperial Outposts he can appear in as shown by a blue signal flare being lit at one of the outposts. There he will be fighting the Imperial Stormtroopers at the outpost. While Chewbacca is not in a team with a player, he is immune to all sources of damage.
The first player to eliminate all the Imperial Stormtroopers present will recruit Chewbacca to their team, where he will immediately drop a Legendary Wookiee Bowcaster upon joining. His behavior will be similar to Supply Specialist Characters when providing assistance, in addition to periodically dropping Shield Bubble Jrs and Healing Items.
Everytime Chewbacca or the player's current target is eliminated he will celebrate the victory with roaring applause, while also raising his Bowcaster in the air.

Chapter 5: Season 2[]
Chewbacca was a friendly Character introduced during Chapter 5: Season 2. He could have been found at one of the five Imperial Blockades after Update v29.40.
Behavior[]
Chewbacca cannot be interacted with directly, instead he had a 20% chance to spawn at one of the five Imperial Blockades scattered around the island as shown by a blue signal flare being lit at one of the blockades. There he will be fighting the Stormtroopers at the blockade. While Chewbacca is not in a team with a player, he is immune to all sources of damage.
The first player to eliminate all the Stormtroopers present will recruit Chewbacca to their team, where he will immediately drop a Mythic Wookiee Bowcaster upon joining. His behavior will be similar to Supply Specialist Characters when providing assistance, in addition to periodically dropping Shield Bubble Jrs with Ammunition and Healing Items.
Everytime Chewbacca or the player's current target is eliminated he will celebrate the victory with roaring applause, while also raising his Bowcaster in the air.
History[]
Update v29.40[]
- Added Chewbacca as a Character. He can be found at one of the five Imperial Blockades fighting Stormtroopers.
Update v35.10[]
- Re-added Chewbacca. He can be found at one of three Imperial Outposts fighting Imperial Stormtroopers.
- Replaced the Mythic Wookiee Bowcaster Chewbacca drops with a Legendary one.
- Added combat music for Chewbacca battling the Imperial Stormtroopers.
- Chewbacca is now defined as a Boss, and eliminating him as a follower would grant the Who's the Boss? Accolade.
- Dismissing Chewbacca now eliminates him.
Update v35.20[]
- Chewbacca now drops Shield Potions, Med Kits, Materials, Shield Bubble Jrs and a Mythic Wookiee Bowcaster when eliminated as a follower.
Trivia[]
- Chewbacca was the first non-Boss AI in Battle Royale to be Slightly Taller than the player, before being recognized as one in Galactic Battle.
- Chewbacca's appearance at the Imperial Blockades and Imperial Outposts is similar to Help The Seven Reclaim during Chapter 3: Season 2. However here neither he or the Imperial Stormtroopers could actively harm each other if shot by their weapons.
- If the player dismisses Chewbacca before Galactic Battle, or the Imperial Stormtroopers are defeated via The Storm, he will become completely uninteractable. He will either infinitely patrol or remain in place the entire match, where he won't even be eliminated by Storm Damage.
- A Debug Trigger was added above Canyon Crossing in Update v35.10, which allowed players to spawn in an unrestricted amount of Chewbaccas that won't despawn. Even when one is replaced by another.
- This version of Chewbacca is from Chapter 5: Season 2 who still drops a Mythic Wookiee Bowcaster and Ammunition, despite both being intended to be vaulted.
