The Cloak Gauntlets is a Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added to the game in Chapter 4: Season 3.
Cloak Gauntlets have a Mythic version called Wildguard Relik's Cloak Gauntlets.
Functionality[]
Cloak Gauntlets allow the player to go nearly invisible. In this state, the player takes on a nearly transparent model, and only a vague outline is visible when moving. The effect is cancelled if the player swaps the item out, changes to another item, attempts to build, or gets covered in Mud.
Cloak Gauntlets has a 30 second cooldown after the effect has worn off.

- The gauntlets possess unlimited charges, you can cloak yourself again and again!
- Though you're unable to attack while using Cloak Gauntlets to cover yourself, you can end your cover early by unequipping the gauntlets or swapping to another item in your inventory.
- Cloak Gauntlets can be used to effectively reposition yourself in the final set of storm circles. If the enemy players cannot see where you are positioning, you may be able to get the jump on them.
- The following situations effectively reveal a cloaked player, or at least their presence:
- Moving without crouching (Visualized Sound and Dust Effect on the ground)
- Gliding (the Glider is visible and makes Visualized Sound)
- Slap & Low Gravity visual effects
- Using Zip Lines (Visualized Sound and Low Gravity effect)
- Footprints on Mud and Snow
- In water (small splash) or Swimming (Visualized Sound and Splashes)
- Marked by a Flare Gun, a Captured Flag, or a Scout NPC
- Seen via Thermal Vision (Thermal DMR, Thermal Fish, etc.)
- Using Emotes that have light effects or spawn other objects
