Strategy Guide[]
![]() |
This section outlines a strategy. | |
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- Due to the weapon’s very quick fire rate and wide spread, it is more ideal to use it like an SMG rather than an Assault Rifle as it performs very poorly at medium/long range.
- It is advised to carry this weapon with another longer ranged weapon, such as a Sniper Rifle, Mammoth Pistol or one of the 2 SMG's in Chapter 6: Season 2 with a scope to cover the Collateral Damage AR’s weakness at long range. Carrying another Assault Rifle can also be viable, but you'll have to watch your ammo usage.
Counters[]
- At longer ranges, the Holo Twister Assault Rifle or the Striker Burst Rifle can easily overwhelm an opponent wielding a Collateral Damage Assault Rifle.
Weapon ID[]
The Collateral Damage Assault Rifle is referred to as CQB AR in the files.

Trivia[]
- Collateral Damage Rifle resembles the Q Honey Badger. An AR-15 Carbine chambered in 7.62x35mm (otherwise known as .300 AAC Blackout) or 5.56x45mm NATO.
- Prior to Update v34.10, Collateral Damage Assault Rifle was equipped with a Speed Grip Weapon Mod.
- This could have been seen by either dropping the weapon (the Speed Grip was clipping through the rifle's pistol grip) or by going to a Mod Bench.
- This was likely due to the weapon being based on the Fury Assault Rifle, which is also prefixed with the Speed Grip Weapon Mod.
- The Collateral Damage Assault Rifle loses its Iron Sights when placed in interactable objects in Creative, such as an Item Placer.
- This is also a trait similar to one's seen with the Modular Weapons, suggesting they share either similar code or were planned to have Weapon Mod capability
- Much like those weapons, the rarity glow does not affect the Iron Sights like they do on weapons Pre-Chapter 5.
- This is even further reinforced by the Exotic variant even showing its Weapon Mod Slots if forcibly modded via UEFN Content Service on a published Island.
- This is also a trait similar to one's seen with the Modular Weapons, suggesting they share either similar code or were planned to have Weapon Mod capability
