Combat Pistol is a Pistol in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 8.
Functionality[]
The Combat Pistol behaves similarly to the Pistol, but has a greater aim down sight accuracy. To combat this increased effectiveness, the Combat Pistol has slightly worse stats than its regular counterpart, but is much more accurate at long range.
The Combat Pistol is a hitscan weapon, with First Shot Accuracy enabled.

- The Combat Pistol's moderate recoil can be countered by adjusting your aim controls downward while firing.
- Controller players can do this by pulling down on the aim stick.
- Keyboard and mouse players can do this by dragging their mouse downward.
- The Combat Pistol functions well as a substitute for an SMG due to its high fire rate and tight accuracy.
- The Combat Pistol can substitute for an assault rifle if needed, although the Combat Pistol is not a great option for long-range encounters.
- At long ranges, tap-firing with the Combat Pistol is best to constantly reset its first-shot accuracy.
- Do not challenge sniper rifles, marksman rifles, or scoped assault rifles at long ranges with a Combat Pistol. Instead, get to a closer range to make effective use of this weapon's high DPS.
- Due to the Combat Pistol's limited capacity, it benefits heavily from augments such as Pistol Amp, Pistol Recycle, or Light Fingers.
- Always aim for headshots with the Combat Pistol, as high rarity Combat Pistols can eliminate a full-health opponent in only four shots to the head (five in Zero Build).
- The Combat Pistol's low capacity makes it ineffective against structures. Instead, it's best to carry a different weapon to help take out an opponent's cover.

- The Combat Pistol seems to be a mix between the Beretta 8000 Cougar and Colt M1911 Styled Pistols. With a color combination akin to the Colt Competition Series color scheme.
- Unlike the Pistol, the Combat Pistol has the properly modelled sliding mechanism for a trigger, instead of a more standard curved one.
- There exists a mythic Mythic variant of the Combat Pistol that is unused in the game's stat rows.
