There are a variety of cosmetic items for use in Fortnite. They come in 28 different types, and are shown below. These come from various sources, including, but not limited to the Item Shop, Battle Pass seasons, Limited Time Offers and a Twitch Prime Membership.
Cosmetic items can be gifted using the Gifting system. Owned cosmetic items are stored in the Locker tab, in which players can freely switch between matches. Cosmetic Items are not always available.
From Season X onward, cosmetics were made available in Save the World, with the exception of Contrails and Gliders since the mode lacks the gliding and skydiving mechanics.
Various cosmetic items are recreated from the Heroes found in Save the World.
