The Crash Pad Jr. is an Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 4: Season 4.
Functionality[]
The Crash Pad Jr. is similar to the Crash Pad, except it deploys a smaller trampoline; hence why is referred as the the mini nerfed version of Crash Pads.
Crash Pad Jr.'s are thrown at a location to deploy a small inflatable trampoline, or your feet from double jumping. This does not destroys nearby structures like the big version.
When a player stands, runs, jumps or lands on top of a Crash Pad Jr., they are launched into the air, and will not take fall damage.
The crash pad can also be angled, so that the player is launched at an angle, rather than directly upwards, it can be paired with other movement items for increased height.
Crash Pad Jr.s will deflate after some time, or when shot at or pickaxed. The pads will deflect projectiles such as Rockets or Grenades. This item can bug with mantling.

Strategy Guide[]
- The Crash Pad Jr. is very useful for safely leaving aerial vehicles while they're flying, such as the X-4 Stormwing or Choppa, as the Crash Pad Jr. can easily be thrown to deploy directly under you and save you from fall damage.
- You can bounce thrown items off of the Crash Pad Jr. for extra distance. This can be useful for giving your teammates healing items at long distances or increasing the distance a Grenade travels.
- You can use the Crash Pad Jr. in conjunction with other mobility items, as the Crash Pad Jr. maintains the momentum you started with and adds to it.
- You can use a Shockwave Grenade and land on a Crash Pad Jr. to go a very far distance. This can be further enhanced by sprint jumping.
- You can use a Crash Pad Jr. to go upward very high, then use Kinetic Blade dashes to travel a far distance or go upward even higher.
- The Crash Pad Jr. can be used on opponents to launch them up into the air. While they're in the air, pull out an SMG or another weapon with a high DPS stat to deal high damage as they fall back down.
- Sprinting into a Crash Pad Jr. will allow you to sprint jump a very long distance. This can be further enhanced by items that apply a low-gravity effect such as FlowBerries.
