Crossbows come in two different forms: Crossbows and Bows.
Crossbows are unique in that they do not require ammo pickups to reload, instead using an infinite reserve. Due to this, they deal only 1 structure damage per shot. Bows use ammo reserves and deal decent structure damage. Bows also get a targeting arc, like a Throwable Item, showing where the projectile will land.
Both Types are good for medium to long range combat, but are generally weak and difficult to use. All Crossbows have a projectile bolt, meaning that the bolt does not instantly hit where the player aims. The projectile is affected by gravity. Crossbows do not have fall-off damage, meaning they deal the same damage up close as they do at any range.

- It is very unwise to use a crossbow against structures, as it deals only 1 damage per shot.
- The Boom Bow is useful for attacking players around structures, due to the weapon's splash damage.
