Darth Vader's Lightsaber is a Mythic Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 3: Season 3. It is obtained by eliminating Darth Vader.

Functionality

Darth Vader's Lightsaber functions identically to other Lightsabers, with the only difference being it can be thrown by the player to deal ranged damage.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber primarily act as a Melee Weapon, meaning it can be swung at players in close range to deal damage to them. The weapon does damage in different intervals and does not have a consistent damage per second. When using it, the player will swing twice for 40 damage each, do a spin attack for 20 damage three times, and then overhead slam for 150 damage.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber will also block damage. Holding the aim down sight button will negate all types of damage except explosive towards the player. This will negate roughly 30 shots, before being put on a three second cooldown. Attempting to Jump whilst blocking will make the player dodge roll. This can be used to avoid incoming fire. Unlike the regular Lightsabers however, you cannot dodge in midair.

Stats

Darth Vader's Lightsaber deals different damage depending on consecutive strikes. As such, they will deal 45, 45, 25, 25, 25, 150 damage.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber is a Melee weapon, so in order to damage opponents, it must be used within a certain radius of the user, when they attack.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber could only be obtained by eliminating the Darth Vader boss at the Imperial Docking Bays.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber may be able to deflect damage, but it can leave you vulnerable to attacks from other angles, especially after the cooldown begins.
When you opponent is blocking with Darth Vader's Lightsaber, use a fast-firing weapon to break the your opponent's block. Alternatively, use explosive weapons as they cannot be deflected.
After throwing your Lightsaber you are able to pull out other weapons to fire at opponents whilst your Lightsaber attacks them too.
