The Deadeye Assault Rifle is an Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 7: Season 1.
The Deadeye Assault Rifle has a Mythic variant called Hush's Deadeye Assault Rifle.
Functionality[]
The Deadeye Assault Rifle is a fully automatic assault rifle with a moderate fire rate and high headshot multiplier. It comes equipped with a custom, 1.5x optic, giving it perfect accuracy while aiming down sights.
The Deadeye Assault Rifle is a Hitscan weapon, with First Shot Accuracy enabled.
The Deadeye Assault Rifle can be aimed down sights while reloading, aimed down sights while in midair and has Checkpoint Reload mechanic.

- The Deadeye Assault Rifle is a very flexible weapon that excels mostly within mid-long range, mostly due to the very low recoil, the solid fire rate and the red dot scope it has.
- The Deadeye Assault Rifle is very rewarding of headshots, as it has a 1.75x headshot multiplier compared to the average 1.5x most assault rifles have. This can help offset the lower base damage, and lower than average DPS, as it is not too difficult to hit multiple headshots back to back when in a fight.
Counters[]
- In close range, the Deadeye Assault Rifle can be heavily outclassed by weapons such as the Holo Rush SMG or Dual Micro SMGs, as they have a much higher DPS, and in the case of the Dual Micro SMGs, aren't stuck scoping in to ADS, making it less awkward to use them at close range. Using these weapons against an opponent wielding the Deadeye Assault Rifle in close range can be very beneficial.

- The Deadeye Assault Rifle resembles the American Colt M16A1 with a carry handle picatinny rail. Despite this, the Deadeye Assault Rifle's handguard is taken by the later M16A2 & M16A3 or the Canadian deriviated Diemaco C7 variations. [1] [2]
- The internal name for the Deadeye Assault Rifle's scope is SM Dragon Cart
- The December 5th 2025 Blog Post mentions that the Deadeye Assault Rifle's spawn rate was increased in Reload. This however is not true, as its was never in the loot pool before the December 5th hotfix.
- The Deadeye Assault Rifle has unique animations for running and reloading (while not ADS) in first-person experiences, as if it were a Ballistic weapon.
