Death Star Sabotage was a Live Event in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was the conclusion of the Galactic Battle.
Buildup[]
As Daigo crossed into the Spirit Realm, the Death Star entered atmospheric orbit above Oninoshima, slowly drawing itself closer to the Island. The Resistance quickly find themselves overwhelmed by the Galactic Empire as they clashed with Imperial forces, leaving them desperate to formulate a counterattack. Having arrived on the Island, Leia Organa informed The Looper to start gathering allies as Leia finalized a plan to directly attack the Death Star.

The Event[]
Join the Fight Early[]
A minigame was made available to players that joined the Death Star Sabotage lobby in the two hours before the event began, where two teams of 12 players were pitted against each other. One team piloted X-Wings in the attempt to destroy a Star Destroyer, while the other team piloted TIE Fighters to defend it.
On top of the Star Destroyer's bridge are two spherical shield generators that protect the vessel from sustaining major damage; X-Wing pilots must destroy these in order to be able to damage the bridge. Turrets on the Star Destroyers will fire at X-Wings whenever they get within range, and they can be destroyed by X-Wing fire. Members of both teams can destroy the various asteroids floating around the battlefield to gain access to powerups that can boost their damage output, provide a speed boost, repair any damage, or gain a protective shield.
TIE Fighter pilots win if they successfully eliminate 50 X-Wings, and the Star Destroyer is shown flying into Oninoshima's atmosphere. X-Wing pilots win if they successfully destroy the Star Destroyer's bridge, which will cause the vessel to split in two.
Death Star Sabotage[]

Only if they can disable the battle station's critical defense systems can the final attack run begin.
But the mission will not be easy....
Jones and Hope lead a squadron of Loopers safely onto the Death Star by posing as a prisoner convoy, allowing them to disembark their X-Wings and TIE Fighters without being noticed. They disguise themselves as Stormtroopers and prisoners in order to evade patrol and reach the tractor beam mechanisms to disable them with their Pickaxes. The group rendezvous at the armory and arm themselves with E-11 Blasters and DLT-19 Blaster Rifles, where they learn that the Island is being looted by the Empire. Fishstick discovers a Rift-To-Go amongst the looted items and decides to shake it despite Jones warning him not to. This results in Fishstick being rifted to the outside of the Death Star.
The group advances further into the space station to disable their turbolaser weapon systems, allowing Blue Squadron to make a bombing run that compromises and dooms the Death Star. A pair of Stormtroopers confront Jones, who unsuccessfully attempts to brainwash them while mimicing the Jedi Mind Trick before eliminating them with his blaster. The group fights through hordes of Stormtroopers as they evacuate to their ships, but they get caught in the crossfire when a downed TIE Fighter crashes into the bridge and separates Hope from the rest of them. Before he loses contact with her, Jones tells Hope to leave them behind and save herself.
While walking through the AT-AT hanger they fell into, Jones and the Loopers enter a TIE Fighter hanger bay where they are suddenly ambushed by Emperor Palpatine, deflecting their blaster fire with his lightsaber before Force Pulling their weapons off their hands. He then wipes out most of the group by throwing TIE Fighters at them, as well as utilizing Force Choke and Force Lightning until the remaining loopers are knocked. Hope arrives in time to save Jones with a Rift-To-Go and throws it at Palpatine's Force Lightning, rifting them back above the Island as Blue Three fires torpedoes into the Death Star's weakpoint and into oblivion before it could fire its superlaser. The resulting explosion sends debris hurling towards the Island's surface, with one meteor striking the empowering Spirit Realm Portal on Predator Peak. This creates a beam protruding up into the sky, as well as a shockwave that knocks the squad out. The Looper, on the ground knocked out, now radiates with energy after getting hit.
The effects of the damaged Portal catch the attention of a superhero from outer space...
