Devices are the main mechanic in Creative, that adds functionality to your island; These devices have a wide array of capabilities that allow you as a creator to customize your island your way. Most devices will have a list of customizable options, functions and or events. These are key to creating your experience.

Some Devices are UEFN or Creativeexclusive; these are tagged respectfully below.

Beta or Experimental devices; These devices will be tagged and subjected to change and or removal from the game with or without notice.

Contextual Filtering : Some devices are affected by a feature called contextual filtering. This feature hides or displays options depending on the values selected for certain related options.

Upgraded Devices : As of Update v26.30, all islands made with Fortnite Creative will transition to upgraded devices automatically, and all new islands will use upgraded devices by default.
- These devices include many upgrades such as:
- Direct numerical input,
- Color pickers,
- Additional features on some devices,
- Trap Devices replaced with props that can be copied and pasted.

Direct Binding : As of Update v25.00, this is the new system that replaced Channels that allows you to directly bind a function or event to other devices.
