- Doom Slayer's description is a reference to the song of the same name from DOOM Eternal (2020).
- All three of Doom Slayer's edit styles are taken from the various cosmetic armors in DOOM Eternal (2020) of the same names.
- The Ember Armor is incorrectly depicted without its flames.
- The Phobos Armor is, by extent, a reference to Phobos from id Software's Quake series, who is also responsible for the DOOM series.
- Doom Slayer was the first Gaming Legends Series Outfit to be released in Chapter 4.
- He is also the second Gaming Legends Series Outfit to be featured in the Battle Pass, preceded by Lara Croft.
- The Doom Slayer was teased in the Fracture event, as he appears floating in space alongside an attacking Cacodemon.
