The Dual Pistols are Pistols in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were added in Season 4.

The Dual Pistols have and Exotic version called Hop Rock Dualies.

Functionality[]

The Dual Pistols perform differently to other pistols, in that the player uses two of them at the same time, working as a 2-round burst. The guns are actually fully automatic, and the single press of the fire button will fire both weapons together.

The Dual Pistols are hitscan weapons with First Shot Accuracy disabled, and will always fire a random spread of bullets, which reset after each burst. This spread is decreased whilst crouching.

The Dual Pistols are best used in close-to-medium ranged encounters.
The Dual Pistols are best paired with a high-damage Shotgun, like the Pump Shotgun. Fire the Shotgun, then swap to the Dual Pistols to finish off your opponent.
Avoid using Dual Pistols at long ranges because of their poor accuracy over great distances.
Since the Dual Pistols fire in two-round bursts, be mindful of their capacity. While they have a capacity of 18, they can only fire nine bursts before reloading.
The Dual Pistols are generally unsuited for destroying structures due to their limited capacity.
Landing back-to-back headshots with the Dual Pistols can deal well over 100+ damage in a single burst, making them more effective than most SMGs if you're accurate with them.

As mentioned above, the Dual Pistols are generally unsuited for destroying structures, so take as much cover as possible when in an engagement with an opponent wielding the Dual Pistols.

Trivia[]

Before release, the Dual Pistols used the icon and model of the Founder's Revolt. ^[1]
The Dual Pistols are based off the real-world American/Belgian FN FNX-45.
Each pistol only holds 9 rounds, as it has an 18-round magazine consisting of two pistols.
The Dual Pistol shares their models with the Flashlight Pistol and the Suppressed Pistol, but without any attachments and a different color scheme.
A Common and Uncommon version of this weapon were available in Team Up! Aloy & Lara LTM. The Uncommon variant was also available in Spy Games and is currently available in Creative.
- The weapon's presence in the Team Up! Aloy & Lara LTM are due to Lara Croft's signature weapon(s) being a pair of Dual Wielded Pistols.
- The Uncommon and Legendary rarities from the Team Up! Aloy & Lara LTM were also added to Creative.
There exists a Mythic variant of the Dual Pistols that is unused in the game's stat rows.
