Dual Pistols: Semi Automatic.
— In-Game Description

The Dual Pistols are a Pistol in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were added in Season 4. The Exotic version of the Dual Pistols are the Hop Rock Dualies.

The Dual Pistols perform differently to other pistols, in that the player uses two of them at the same time, working as a 2 round burst. The guns are actually fully automatic and the single press of the fire button will fire both weapons together.

The Dual Pistols range from dealing 39 to 43 damage per shot (154.4 to 162.3 Damage per second). All Dual Pistols use Medium Ammo - Icon - Fortnite.png Medium Bullets. The Dual Pistols have a headshot multiplier of 1.65x.

The Dual Pistols are hitscan weapons. They do not have First Shot Accuracy enabled, and will always fire a random spread of bullets, which reset after each burst. This spread is decreased whilst crouching.

Strategy Guide

Calculated - Emote - Fortnite.png
The risk was calculated... but man am I bad at math.
This section outlines a strategy. Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

  • Be wary of the Dual Pistol's magazine size, at it fires both guns at once, meaning half the number of shots per magazine.
  • Dual Pistols can act as a good substitute for Submachine Guns, primarily due to how high headshot damage is and their fire rate.
    • Assuming you have damaged an opponent and they are below 100 HP, you can kill them within 1-2 shots.

Season 4

  • Update v4.50: Introduced the Dual Pistols in Epic and Legendary rarities

Season 5

  • Update v5.10: Removed the Legendary Dual Pistols from the Supply Drop Pool.
  • Update v5.40: Later re-balanced the rarities of the Dual Pistols to remove the Legendary rarity.
    • By transferring the stats to the Epic rarity, the Epic rarity became the new Rare Dual Pistols.

Season 6

Season 7

Season 9

Chapter 2: Season 1

  • Update v11.31 (23rd December): Unvaulted the Dual Pistols in both rarities.
    • 24th December: Vaulted the Dual Pistols in both rarities.

Chapter 2: Season 2

  • Dual Pistols unvaulted for Spy Games in Rare and Epic. Re-added Legendary version with better stats, and included an Uncommon version with worse stats.
  • Damage decreased of the Rare and Epic variants from 41/43 to 39/41

Chapter 2: Season 3

  • Update v13.00: Dual Pistols are still vaulted, but lowered the headshot multiplier of the Dual Pistols to 1.65x

Chapter 2: Season 6

  • Update v16.50: Dual Pistols have been unvaulted in Rare and Epic rarities.

Chapter 2: Season 7

  • The Dual Pistols are based off the real world American FN FNX.
  • Each pistol only holds 9 rounds, as it has a 18 round magazine consisting of two pistols.
  • The Dual Pistol shares its model with the Flashlight Pistol, aside from the lack of an optic, and flashlight.
  • A Common, Uncommon and Legendary version of this weapon is available in Team Up! Aloy & Lara LTM.
    • Also the Uncommon and Legendary variants are available in Spy Games.
  • There exists a Mythic variant of the Dual Pistols that is unused in the game's stat rows.
