Dynamite is an Explosive Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was added in Season 6.
Functionality[]
Dynamite is mainly used for dealing high amounts of damage to structures. Due to this, the item cannot be thrown very far by the player, only landing a few meters away with an optimal throw. Dynamite has a large explosive radius however, but will only detonate after its 5 second fuse has run out, a fuse which starts upon throwing or preparing to throw the item. As such, the Dynamite can be 'cooked' allowing for timed explosion or potentially an air-burst. This comes at the downside of hurting yourself if held for too long.
Dynamite can also deal damage to players, but is weaker than Grenades, and due to its long fuse time and throw distance, it is not recommended for this use.

Strategy Guide[]
- Dynamite is especially useful for taking down structures but struggles to deal significant player damage.
- Be very careful when using Dynamite at close ranges as its wide blast radius makes it easy to damage yourself.
- Dynamite can be especially useful in Zero Build for taking out an opponent's Port-A-Bunker or bush. Make sure to wear the fuse down some before throwing it to prevent it from being thrown back.
- If you have an opponent boxed up without a cone on top, place a cone on it, edit the cone, throw several Dynamite into the cone, and then reset the cone. When the first piece of Dynamite explodes, the rest will fall into the opponent's box and deal significant damage.
- Dynamite is especially useful in a competitive setting for draining the materials of your opponents.
- Dynamite is very useful for dealing with opponents in confined spaces, especially vaults.
- Don't throw Dynamite at an opponent in open space since they can fairly easily walk or sprint out of the blast zone.
- If an opponent is hiding in a building, throw Dynamite into the windows to open it up and destroy their cover.
- You can throw several Dynamite into a Shopping Cart's basket, then have a teammate push the cart into your opponents. This will damage your opponents significantly without hurting your teammate.
