Expeditions are a Mechanic in Fortnite: Save the World that allows players to send their Heroes on missions to gather Crafting Ingredients, Materials, and even Survivors, Heroes, and Schematics. There are three categories of expeditions: Land, Sea, and Air expeditions.

Expeditions are unlocked upon completing the Van or Astro-van? Main Quest on Page 8 of the Stonewood Questline.

Expedition Slots

Expedition Slots can be unlocked by completing parts of the Main Quests, and Storm Shield Defenses.

Expedition Boosts

By assigning Heroes with the matching hero class bonus, you’ll receive boosts. The effectiveness of these boosts can vary significantly depending on the Rarity of the Hero used.

Completion

Expeditions are automatically completed after the designated duration. Expeditions can be completed/failed depending on the percentage of success that's affected by the Heroes slotted. The tougher the expedition, the more boost is needed and the better reward will be granted.
