Faction Chests (or Henchmen Chests) are a type of Container in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 2: Season 2 and expanded upon in further seasons.
Description[]
Faction Chests are containers which all use the same basic shape, and offer higher tier loot compared to standard Chests. They are marked with a Unique Faction on each type of chest, or are blank as default.
All Faction Chests count as Chests for the purpose of challenges and XP.
Functionality[]
Faction Chests vary massively in their contents, but have been known to contain a Weapon, Ammunition for said weapon, 30 of one type of Utility, Uncategorized or Ranged Consumable, or Healing Item, and Bars. These are not consistent across chests and the loot pool of said chests is different across factions and seasons.
Some Faction Chests are equipped with a scanner which requires a henchmen disguise or a knocked down henchman to open it.
They can be interacted with by the player to open them, granting some XP. They take a standard amount of time to open. Faction Chests can be located by the distinctive ambient noise they make.
