- — In-Game Description
The Falcon Scout is a Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 4: Season 1.
Functionality[]
The Falcon Scout is a player controlled drone, which is flown by moving the camera and flying forward. It has a variety of uses and functions
- Pressing the Sprint Key will boost the drone forwards.
- Pressing the attack key will scan the nearby area for players, AIs and Containers.
- Pressing the mark key will mark as standard, but from the drone's POV
- Pressing F (Default on PC) will allow players to grab items, or knocked (DBNO) players.
- Pressing the aim button will put away the drone and transfer it back to the player's inventory.
The Falcon Scout goes on a short cooldown after being dismissed, and will return to the player. The drone can also be destroyed, putting it on cooldown. If the player flies the drone too far, the drone will lose signal and be dismissed. The limit for how far the drone can fly before returning to the player is 150 meters.

Trivia[]
- Like many other items and concepts, The Falcon Scout is very similar to one from Apex Legends, this being Crypto's drone.
- Both are deployable drones which can scan for players, mark world objects and pick up some specific items. However Crypto's drone will stay in the air when dismissed and continuously mark players in its FOV, unlike the Falcon Drone.
- The Falcon Scout (as of launch) marks all vehicles with a white arrow (the same one shown when you yourself are marked by an opponent) and also shows all enemies marked with one, even before properly scanning them and providing a red pip and outline.
- Oddly, it also marks Devices in Fortnite: Creative.
