Dread is a Rare Pickaxe in Fortnite, that could have been obtained as a reward from the Ruin Challenges. Dread was released in Season 8 and is part of the Ruination Set.

- Dread was originally called Burning Claw prior to its release.
- Dread's description was also changed from "Too hot to handle." to "Instill fear." in Update v8.30.
