Hero's Heart - Emoticon - Fortnite This article is about a location that has been removed from the map.

Retail Row was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was located inside the coordinates G6 and H6 - East of Lazy Lake and North of Mount Kay.
It was usually a risky place to land after jumping out of the Battle Bus, as it was normally densely populated. It contained an above average amount of loot. Penny could have been found as a character here.

Season 1[]

Retail Row was added to the Athena island.

Season 7[]

During Season 7, the Durrr Burger and Uncle Pete's Pizza Pit restaurants got added, due to Greasy Grove being frozen over.

Season 8[]

Near the end of Season 8 on May 4th 2019, the whole east side of Retail Row was destroyed due to the Volcano eruption right after the Nexus Event, where a giant ash would land on that side.

Season 9[]

With the start of Season 9 on May 9th 2019, Retail Row was re-named to Mega Mall with it replacing the east side (Destroyed part) of Retail Row.

Season X[]

In Season X, the second Rift Beacon reverted Mega Mall to Retail Row. This time, the Fortnitemares husks are involved. This was done because Season X celebrates the best of C1 and Fortnitemares occurred twice in this chapter.

Chapter 2: Season 1[]

In Chapter 2 - Season 1, despite the old map being sucked into a black hole, Retail Row survived, and is now placed in the southeast side of the new map. This time, the husks are removed to provide new players a fair experience.

Chapter 2: Season 2[]

In Chapter 2 - Season 2, GHOST and SHADOW took over Retail Row with the Ghost Flowers and Shadow Lamps stores added.

Chapter 2: Season 3[]

In Chapter 2 - Season 3, SHADOW took over Ghost Flowers and combined it with Shadow Lamps.

Chapter 2: Season 4[]

After v14.10, the GHOST Henchmen will be found with a SHADOW Henchmen at the gas station near Stark Industries (Formerly Frenzy Farm).

Chapter 2: Season 5[]

The Jennifer Waltersā€™ Office has been reverted back to the brown brick house, the Ghost Flowers and Shadow Lamps has been replaced by a Christmas Shop, and the parking lot has been fenced off, a small cabin similar to the one during Christmas 2017 and Christmas 2019 was added, possibly hinting a Christmas tree being added. In the 15.10 update, the entirety of Retail Row has been covered in snow.

This section outlines a strategy.

This location is normally highly populated, making it a risky place to land. However, this location consists of 21 chests, as well as 21 ammo boxes, making it moderately decent for loot. This location is somewhat close to the edge of the Apollo island, which means normally you will have a limited amount of time to gather loot before The Storm shrinks.

Trivia[]

  • Retail Row along with Pleasant Park have been around since the beginning of Fortnite, being the oldest POIs in Fortnite history, lasting 17 seasons, from Season 1 to Season 8, and from Season X to Chapter 2: Season 8.
  • Retail Row is the only rift zone location to return on the Apollo Map.
  • Retail Row is the only Chapter 1 location to not change in Chapter 2 since Pleasant Park became Doomā€™s Domain and became Pleasant Park again, and now Salty Springs became Salty Towers.
  • It is the least changed Chapter 1 location on the Chapter 2 map.
  • A total of 7 ziplines connect Steamy Stacks and Retail Row. These are most likely meant to be power lines, as Steamy Stacks is a power plant.
    • These inspired the Chapter 2: Season 4 quest - Zipline from Retail Row to Steamy Stacks.
    • These ziplines also take you above Dirty Docks and Brutus' Basin (formerly The Grotto).
  • There is a large fish on the front of the Outdoor Equipment Store that moves and sings when you emote near it. There are also multiple smaller fish inside the shop that react the same way.
