Tilted Towers was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Update v19.10. It was located south of Loot Lake and southwest of Coney Crossroads.

Overview[]

Tilted Towers was a hamlet sized city made up of many buildings, a clock tower, apartments, an insurance office, shops, a mini soccer pitch (formerly a basketball court) and a fishing pier. The Chapter 3 version of Tilted Towers was almost identical to its original counterpart, save for a few differences. Much of the location had been revamped - new buildings existed such as the coffee shop and the gas station, the crossroads can support vehicles like Cars and act as real drivable roads, and all buildings look newer due to the use of Unreal Engine 5 which makes the location look more polished all-around. In addition to these changes, in the wake of Chapter 3: Season 2, the Imagined Order had occupied the city and had set up equipment and various kinds of ordinance virtually everywhere - including stationing an accessible blimp above the location.

Chapter 1[]

Black Hole - Back Bling - Fortnite This article is about a location that has been removed from the map.

Tilted Towers was a named location formerly located nearby Loot Lake, Dusty Depot, Salty Springs, and Shifty Shafts - being a center location of the Battle Royale Map. It is one of the most popular locations of the island.

Overview[]

Prior to it's reintroduction, Tilted was in the island Athena, where there were a few differences to its newer version. For example, there was originally an Office building where No Sweat Insurance would stand. During Season 4, the Office building would be destroyed, and from Season 5 to 8, the site would be replaced with new buildings - a Sporting Goods shop, a News building, and then finally the No Sweat Insurance building once more. During The Unvaulting Event, Tilted Towers was hit and completely obliterated by rocks from The Volcano. Ironically, the No Sweat Insurance building was the only structure that survived the destruction, before the entire location itself was transformed in Season 9 into Neo Tilted.

Trivia[]

  • Tilted Towers had an "unlucky spot" which was destroyed 3 times. When Tilted Towers was destroyed during The Unvaulting Live Event, the building on that area, No Sweat Insurance, was, ironically, the only building to survive fully intact. This would happen again, with the same building and a few other buildings.
  • The famous clock tower building was present on every Island in some shape or form within Chapters 1 through 4.
  • During Season 3, there were many signs of the Meteor hitting Tilted Towers.
    • This was the case, however, as Donald Mustard said on a Marvel Podcast, it was changed to Dusty Depot at the last minute to troll the Battle Royale Fanbase due to the memes and rumors around it.
  • Tilted Towers now has eight versions, the others are Neo Tilted, Tilted Town, Gotham City, Salty Towers, Boney Burbs, Frosty Fields, and Tainted Towers.
  • Tilted Towers was one of the largest POIs in Athena.
  • There were a few remnants on Apollo of buildings from Tilted in Boney Burbs, formerly Salty Towers.
  • In Chapter 3: Season 1 when Tilted Towers came back, 20 more chests were added to it, which means it leads over its rival The Daily Bugle.
  • The first hours of Tilted Towers return had the location covered in snow and the mini-map showing the previous snow phase but with Tilted Towers labelled.
  • Tilted Towers has been in a total of 10 seasons in Fortnite's history.
    • If counting different versions of Tilted Towers, it would be 17 seasons.
