The In-Between (also known as The Nexus) is the realm of The Zero Point that connects all realities in Fortnite: Battle Royale in a giant nexus hub. It was seen during 2 live events: the Butterfly Event, and The Devourer of Worlds.

Butterfly Event[]
After The Cube explodes above The Vault, a blinding white light covered the player's screens. They were then transported to the In-Between. For a short period of time, they were allowed to float around and check out the new dimension. Proceeding this, a giant rift started to form. It took the shape of a giant butterfly , and started to shrink while moving over to the player. The player stuck out their finger, and the butterfly landed on it. Then another flash of light appeared, and the players were sent back to the island via a rift .
The Devourer of Worlds[]
After being sucked in by The Zero Point, all players are sent to The In-Between, along with the heroes and Galactus. Players gained control of a modified Battle Bus, allowing them to fly around the space while defending against Galactus' onslaught of attack drones. As Galactus continued to consume the Zero Point, the In-Between transformed into a space like dimension with Iron Man stating how bad for us it was despite it being beautiful. Many planets can be seen, along with Travis Scott's Astroworld. Galactus is defeated, and the screen fades to black. Then, a timer appears counting down until Chapter 2: Season 5 appears
Appearance[]
The In-Between appears as a dimension with no gravity, a light grey exterior with floating white orbs scattered around. White lines that appear in an almost circuit like pattern all converge at the center around the Zero Point. Here, the Zero Point does not have it's exterior shell like it does normally. A bright white beacon shines upward from the Zero Point.
