It's Raining Husks!
— Introduction Text

Flingers are slow, lumbering Mist Monsters with a large arm that throws Husk Monsters at the objective. They are the Mist Monster counterpart of Lobbers. They spawn smaller enemies in their outstretched arm to throw over fort walls to attack from the inside. While not usually dangerous on their own, they will constantly throw smaller husks onto roofs or ceilings, bypassing wall fortifications and Traps. Flingers make a loud, scary roar when they spawn and when throwing Husks.

While Flingers themselves are not Elemental, the Husks they summon can be if in an Elemental Mutant Storm.

They are first introduced during Plankerton Storm Shield Defense 2, and only appear in siege/defense Missions thereafter.

Flingers are the only Mist Monster to not spawn as a patrol or asleep.

Special Abilities[]

  • Throw Husks - Throws smaller husks from an exceptional distance in a long arc with a visible trail, bypassing established defensive walls and tunnels to potentially attack the objective from within. Flingers can summon and throw standard Husks, Huskies, Zappers, Husklings, or Lobber skulls.
  • Spin Attack - If a player or Wildlife gets too close to a Flinger, the Flinger attacks by spinning its arms, dealing damage and knock back. Flingers will also perform this attack if the players' builds block their path.

Tips and Strategy[]

Calculated - Emote - Fortnite This section outlines a strategy.
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.
  • Sniper Defenders are effective against thrown Husks; it is strongly recommended to add Defenders with Roofing on top objective defenses, to prevent Flingers from throwing husks directly into the objective.
  • Flingers throw Husks, Pitchers, Beehives, Zappers, and Husklings. Adding traps to rooftops will efficiently deal with them. They are the only mist monsters to attack the objective directly.
    • Since patch 23.20, Flingers can now throw Huskies (fatty Husks), making them more destructive.
