This page is about an item or mechanic that has been removed from the game.

Forged Cosmetics were a type of cosmetic that had the ability to be customized by the user from a selection of parts. It was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 2 with the Gear Specialist Maya Outfit. Once a piece had been locked in, it could not be altered. Forged Cosmetics are represented in-game with the tag.

With Chapter 2: Season 7, the Forged tag was effectively discontinued through the introduction of the Kymera Outfit, but the concept of locking in cosmetic choices was brought back with the release of Sidekicks.

The Forged cosmetic type was added in Update v12.00. In Chapter 2: Season 2, the only Forged Outfit, Gear Specialist Maya, was unlocked at Level 1 of the Battle Pass and could have been edited by completing challenges each week and earning parts. Once a part of Maya has been locked in, it could never be changed.

In Chapter 2: Season 3, another Forged Cosmetic was introduced, this time it was a Glider: Brella. It can be customized much like Maya, with new parts being unlocked at certain levels in the Battle Pass. The Brella is based off of the basic Umbrella glider, with the custom parts making it unique.

Despite having the same mechanics, The Brella does not have the "Forged" tag.
