Bandages
- Bandages can be used to recover health inside the storm and prolong a players time inside it. However, they can only heal to 75HP and take a decent amount of time for the health they recover.
- Bandages are the weakest and most ineffective version of recovering health in the game, so they should ideally be changed out with anything else that heals at any situation.
Medkit
- Players should make sure they have good cover before attempting to use a the Medkit, as it takes a long time (10 Seconds) to use.
- Players should really only attempt to use the Medkit at low HP, as the time it takes to restore health is long. However, if there is enough time, the Medkit can be used to restore any amount of health.
- If the player is caught in the storm and has more health than 10 seconds worth of storm damage, they can use the Medkit to help them survive.
Small Shield Potion
- Always drink Small Shield Potions before drinking regular shield potions, as those can be used to get to max shield, but not vice versa.
- Small Shield Potions are useful to consuming in fights at low shield, as they are very fast to consume and can give you the health you need to survive.
Shield Potion
- Always drink Small Shield Potions before drinking regular Shield Potions, as those can be used to get to max shield, but not vice versa. However, if you are in possession of two Shield Potions and no Small Shield Potions, it is quicker to just consume both Shield Potions than look for small ones.
Chug Jug
- Players should make sure they have very good cover before attempting to drink the Chug Jug, as it takes a very long time (15 Seconds) to consume.
- Players should really only attempt to drink the Chug Jug at low HP and shields, as the time it takes to restore health is long. However, if there is enough time, the Chug Jug can be used to restore any amount of health or shield.

Slurp Juice
- If you are in a 1 or 2 tick storm, Slurp Juice is very beneficial to your survival, as consuming it can balance out a 1 tick storm to deal no damage, and reduce a 2 tick storm to a 1 tick.
- Players can min-max their usage by quickly consuming a Slurp Juice before a fight, or if one is found and cannot be carried. Doing this will allow you to passively heal if you take damage during the conflict.
Small Fry
- Small Fries can be used to recover health inside the storm and prolong a players time inside it. However, they can only heal to 75HP.
Flopper
- Floppers are very useful to gaining quick health, as their time to consume versus the healing they provide is the fastest in the game for raw HP. As such a player should reasonably carry a full stack of Floppers vs a full stack of Medkits, as the healing provided is less, but much faster, at 4 seconds as opposed to 30.
Jellyfish
- Jellyfish are useful for team-play, as they can be used to heal multiple members of your squad at the same time, if they stand close to you.
Shieldfish
- Shield fish are better than Shield Potions in every way aside from obtaining them. This is because Shield Fish can be consumed in one second, and Shield Potions take 5. However, Shield Fish must be obtained by Fishing, making them awkward to locate.
Slurpfish
- Slurpfish are very useful to gaining quick health, as their time to consume versus the healing they provide is the fastest in the game, with a full stack healing 120 effective health in 3 seconds.
Zero Point Floppers
- Rift Fish are incredibly useful for escaping a fight or to travel across the map quickly, usually to escape the storm.
- If you are W-Keying and willing to fight, eat a Thermal Fish first, then a Rift Fish so you can spot players around the map.
- If you quickly use the rift fish but switch to another item fast enough, the rift sound will be heard, but the rift will not appear or affect players. This can be useful to trick an opponent into thinking that you have rifted.

Vendetta Flopper
- Vendetta Floppers are useful for finding an opponent in a fight, as marking them will not only allow you to know where you opponent is, but you can also use it to pre-aim their location and react faster to them leaving cover.
Thermal Fish
- Thermal Fish are useful for seeing enemies through Wooden Structures, as the gaps in them can allow for easy identification, especially when being built. On top of this, Thermal vision is great for low visibility, such as in the Storm.
Snowy Flopper
- Snowy Floppers are useful for quick movement. However, like all items that give icy feet, it is very hard to control movement or reduce the speed the player moves at, as well as sliding down slopes. Therefore the Snowy Flopper should be used with caution.
Midas Flopper
- Midas Floppers are obviously very beneficial, upgrading all of your weaponry to Legendary and giving you a Legendary Assault Rifle. However, as the catch rate is so low and they require a Pro Fishing Rod, it is often not worth spending the time to find one.
- Waiting for your squad to give you their low rarity weaponry is the most efficient way to upgrade all their loot and make the best use of the Midas Flopper.
Spicy Fish
- Spicy Fish are usually used when escaping the storm, but can be used for general travel at high speeds.
Hop Flopper
- Hop Floppers are useful for moving across areas quickly, as they allow the player to use the faster speed of running and jumping compared to just running, to their advantage. On top of this, Hop Floppers allow for much faster movement while swimming and jumping.

Banana
- Bananas heal very low amounts of HP, and should really only be used or carried during emergencies.
Cabbage
- Cabbages heal twice as much as Apples or Bananas and should be prioritized if you need to carry one or the other.
- Cabbages are actually one of the best healing items, especially when in the storm. This is because they heal relatively fast, with the ability to let the player move a few tiles whilst the healing over time effect plays out. As such they are very valuable healing items.
- People used to use cabbages and Fish paired with a Campfire to survive in the storm.
Coconut
- If carrying Small Shield Potions, drink those before consuming a coconut, as you will end up with more Shield.
- Be sure to pause between consuming multiple coconuts, as the healing over time can cap at + 4 Effective Health if you eat the next one too fast.
Corn
- Corn is essentially the same item as Cabbage, but heals slower and should really be swapped for cabbage if choosing between them.
Pepper
- Peppers are very useful for getting out of the Storm, as not only do they provide a small healing boost, but they give you enough speed to outrun most storms.
- Peppers should be eaten whenever you find them, as the boost lasts a full minute, and they can be eaten at full health. Finding a pepper that you cannot carry, you should consume it and then continue on, for the boost.
Mushroom
- If carrying Small Shield Potions, drink those before consuming a mushroom, as you will end up with more Shield.
Mythic Mushroom
- Consume a Mythic Mushroom before any other Shield Products, as you can save those for other times when you need healing.
Slurp Mushroom
- Slurp Mushrooms are arguably the best Foraged Item to carry, as well as being a very solid healing item in general. Carrying two Slurp Mushrooms is equivalent to one Chug Splash, and getting repeated luck from Produce Boxes can provide around 20 to 60 Effective Healing.
- Do not consume another foraged item too fast after eating a Slurp Mushroom, as the Slurp Mushrooms healing over time effect will stop when another item is consumed.
Zero Point Crystals
- Zero Point Crystals are useful for escaping the storm, or general traversal at high speeds.
- You cannot take advantage of the Zero Point Crystals if you have a Jetpack of any sorts equipped, unless it runs out of fuel and is on cooldown, so do not bother consuming them when using one.
- If you have the Hop Rock Dualies equipped, a useful strategy would be to consume a Zero Point Crystal, fire the Dualies to activate the jump effect, then jump and use the Zero Point Crystal ability. This is useful for escaping a fight at high and efficient speeds, among other uses.
- Be mindful that the effect these crystals cause does not stop fall damage, so if you are on a mountain with a ledge in front of you, be warned.
Hop Rocks
- Hop Rocks are useful for escaping the storm, or general traversal at high speeds.
- Hop Rocks can be used to negate fall damage in an emergency. However, this is very hard to make use of due to the item being unable to be stored in the player's inventory.
Shadow Stones
- Shadow Stones are useful for escaping the storm, or general traversal at high speeds.
- Shadow Stones can be used to negate fall damage in an emergency. However, this is very hard to make use of due to the item being unable to be stored in the player's inventory.

- Candy Corn is essentially the same item as Cabbage, but heals slower and should really be swapped for cabbage if choosing between them.

Pepper Mint
- Pepper Mints are very useful for getting out of the Storm, as not only do they provide a small healing boost, but they give you enough speed to outrun most storms.
- Pepper Mints should be eaten whenever you find them, as the boost lasts a full minute, and they can be eaten at full health. Finding a pepper mint that you cannot carry, you should consume it and then continue on, for the boost.
Thermal Taffy
- Thermal Taffy are useful for seeing enemies through Wooden Structures, as the gaps in them can allow for easy identification, especially when being built. On top of this, Thermal vision is great for low visibility, such as in the Storm.
- Thermal Taffy is very useful during Fortnitemares, as the map is covered in a dense fog. Consuming a Thermal Item is the only way to see enemies at longer ranges during this mode.
Hop Drops
- Hop Drops are useful for moving across areas quickly, as they allow the player to use the faster speed of running and jumping compared to just running, to their advantage. On top of this, Hop Drops allow for much faster movement while swimming and jumping.
Shadow Bomb
- As it makes the user almost invisible, the Shadow Bomb is great for rotating, especially when low.
- It is also great for sneaking up on other players.
- The Shadow Bomb is also fairly easy to find in chests, meaning you can have lots of them, and it is a good item to carry.
Balloons
- Balloons can be used to quickly get up to high points of terrain.
- If you are going to take fall damage, a good strategy is to quickly equip a balloon to prevent this.
Rift-To-Go
- The Rift-To-Go can be used as an easy way to escape from The Storm.
- If you are on low health and feel that the opponent that you are fighting against may eliminate you, this item can be used as an easy escaping tool.
