Fortnite 1st Birthday is the in-game, limited event that celebrates the first birthday of Fortnite. Players are tasked with a short set of challenges that reward an emoticon, spray, and ultimately Back Bling.
Even if not directly participating, players can eat the cake slices scattered around the map to receive +5 health and +5 shield instantly when consumed. Also, the Battle Bus sports a birthday theme for a limited time, and those in the Fortnite: Save the World mode can unlock a new skin and earn tickets.

Completing them all rewards the Back Bling.
- Play 14 matches - 5,000 XP
- Deal 1,000 damage to opponents - emoticon
- Dance in front of 10 different Birthday Cakes - spray

- Retail Row: Middle, near court
- Tilted Towers: Above waterfall toward Loot Lake
- Wailing Woods: On hill toward Risky Reels
