Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War #1 is a Comic introduced in Chapter 3: Season 3 of Fortnite: Battle Royale, as part of the Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War. It is the first issue in the Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War series.
The comic’s story follows the inhabitants on the Island who are locked in what seems to be a never-ending war, and only one thing has the potential to turn the tide—a crystallized fragment of The Zero Point that was cast into the Marvel Universe. Spider-Man and Wolverine team up with Shuri and several fan-favorites from Fortnite to hunt down the elusive Zero Shard. Will these allies be able to find it in time and avert catastrophe? And can the heroes of Marvel and Fortnite’s realities hold off the Imagined Order long enough to give them a fighting chance?
Summary[]
The comic takes place during Chapter 3: Season 2. In Reality: 616, at Princess Bar. Spider-Man, Jones and The Imagined are trying to convince "Patch" to help them. Spider-Man start telling his story in Reality Zero. Where the source of the Big Bang is controlled by the Imagined Order and they wanted to kill all Loopers on the island but The Seven is there to help everyone stop the IO. During a battle, An explosion occurs and Pirate Fishstick is killed. 8-Ball mourns the death of his fish friend but is interrupted by The Foundation, saying that he is a Snapshot and the real Fishstick died a long time ago. After they finally capture an IO outpost. The Visitor comes up with a plan to stop The Collider by using The Paradigm's Mecha that was left on The Ice Moon.
The Paradigm was a member of the Seven before she joined the IO. During Season 9, She built the Mecha Team Leader to help the IO fight The Devourer and she won. She flew to the moon and cut all communication with IO and the Seven. The Origin theorized that Paradigm died on the moon where Polar Peak and The Devourer originated from. The Foundation ask the Scientist if they can go to the moon and fix Mecha. Spider-Man then comes up with an idea to call heroes from his reality to help them. Everyone one agrees. The Order gives a Portal Device to her sister, The Imagined and asks if she'll be lonely without her. The Imagined re-assured her and everyone splits up.
The Foundation, Jones, The Imagined and Spider-Man infiltrate an IO secret entrance to The Bridge. where IO Guards are dumping toxic waste into the ocean. while a guard is talking about the waste giving him 'cancer' the Foundation smash them into oblivion. Jones find his old IO office room and had a moment with it. Jones guide everyone to The Zero Point but they are stopped by Doctor Slone and Gunnar. Jones tells the Foundation that as promised, he would take him to Geno, mistaking Gunnar for him. Slone laughs and says that Geno wouldn't waste his time here. Jones is heartbroken thinking that he has been working with the big ones for centuries. Spider-Man opens a Zero Point portal to Reality: 616, grabs Jones, Imagined and jumps there. The Foundation escape through the ceiling, leaving Slone and Gunnar in the Bridge. Slone starts smiling and ignores them.
Spider-Man wakes up to Captain Marvel fighting the Imagined and he quickly jumps in to stop them. Spider-Man then calls every heroes and tell them about the IO. They come up with the idea reunite heroes that Thor Bifrosted to Reality Zero during Chapter 2: Season 4. Back to present in the Princess Bar, Patch finally agrees to go with the team. Meanwhile Doctor Doom is talking to Geno about The Omniverse and other stuff. The comic ends with Doom agreeing to help Geno and the IO.

- Despite being a Marvel comic, there is an indirect callback to Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point where The Foundation mentions the death of Fishstick at the end of Issue #4.
