Battle Royale[]
Fortnitemares is a seasonal event in Fortnite: Battle Royale that rotates in during the Halloween season. It contains challenges which reward cosmetics.
Fortnitemares brings abount new sets of Quests to unlock cosmetics and Season XP. New Locations and Weapons may be added. The map is decorated for Fortnitemares during the event, and spooky items are unvaulted.

History[]
Season 1
Fortnitemares 2017: The event was mainly focused on Save the World, and Battle Royale had the Jack O Launcher, and Halloween Cosmetics.
Season 6
Fortnitemares 2018: The event was expanded to include Battle Royale when The Cube made a portal above Loot Lake. Fortnitemares was part of the Season 6 lore. Fortnitemares 2018 introduced Cube Monsters.
Chapter 2: Season 1
Fortnitemares 2019: The Landmark Eye Land was replaced with the Isle Of The Storm for Fortnitemares. This was to have an area for the Storm King LTM, making the first appearence of the Storm King in Battle Royale. Cube Monsters return.
Chapter 2: Season 4
Fortnitemares 2020: The Authority was replaced with The Ruins, with a Shadow version of Midas as a boss with Ghostly GHOST Henchmen. Eliminated players turn into Shadows during the event. Candy is introduced. In Save the World, Dungeons and the Hexsylvania Venture zone are introduced.
Chapter 2: Season 8
Fortnitemares 2021: Various Outfits are being released periodically in the form of "flipping the cards" to reveal said outfits that correspond with them. In the Battle Royale lore, Fortnitemares 2021 is themed around The Cube Queen. A new Dungeon is added in Save the World, The Lab.
Chapter 3: Season 4
Fortnitemares 2022: Fortnitemares 2022 is themed around DJ Lyka where Alteration Altars appear around the island where players gain Howler Claws. Zero Build Horde Rush is introduced.
Chapter 4: Season 4
Fortnitemares 2023: Ghosts appeared on the island, pointing to the chests. Kado Thorne has opened his vampire form to everyone, as well as a vault with a time machine.
Chapter 5: Season 4
Fortnitemares 2024: After rifting Doctor Doom back to Reality: 616, the numerous Rift Beacons planted across the Island began bringing in numerous Halloween decorations in addition to objects from past Islands. Reckless Railways was destroyed and replaced with Freaky Fields, where Billy resides to challenge Loopers to a game. Brawler's Battleground was occupied by Ultima Carver, turning it into Brawler's Patch. Several other Named Locations around the island were also covered in pumpkin overgrowth to lesser degrees. Additionally, Mephisto took over The Underworld and turned the River Styx into a bloody red hue.Gallery[]

Save the World[]
Fortnitemares is a Seasonal Event in Fortnite: Save the World that rotates in during early September, bringing along the Hexsylvania Venture Zone with it. Fortnitemares Llamas, Weapons and Heroes are also brought back for the duration of the Venture Season.
Survive the Night and Trap the Storm are the two Exclusive Missions that can be found in Hexsylvania. It has four unique Biomes: Haunted Hotel, Haunted Forest, Shady Acres and The Swamps.
Additionally, there are several Fortnitemares Questlines to complete - in the past, these involved thwarting Vlad and preventing his resurrection. They now consist of other cycling questlines.
Dungeons involves going into 5 different Dungeons that can be selected at the Mission Select Screen. Up to 4 Commanders descend until they reach the Dungeon Boss, where then they defeat it to free the Dungeon's curse.
