Fortnite Founder's Packs gave players entry to the Early Access Season, access to exclusive in-game events in 2017, and offered a huge value on things like heroes, loot, weapons, and in-game boosts. Players who pre-ordered a Founder’s Pack received a four-day head start beginning on July 21, 2017, along with the exclusive Storm Master Weapon Pack. Additionally, Epic Games partnered with Gearbox Publishing to distribute a boxed retail version of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
These packs were discontinued on June 29, 2020 with v13.20, Save the World left early access. Players who owned a Founder's Pack had their pack automatically upgraded to the next level free of charge. Ultimate Editions owners received 8,000 V-Bucks in compensation.

Legacy Founder's Packs[]
- These Founder's Packs were available before and immediately following Fortnite's official Early Access release on July 25, 2017. Due to abuses related to the Friend Codes generated in these packs, Epic Games removed them from both in-game and web stores on March 29, 2018. Epic Games has confirmed that on July 17, 2018, these packs would be available for a limited time, with an exception to the Ultimate Edition Founders Pack. On October 22, 2018, Epic Games published a "Save the World: State of Development" blog post, where they stated that these packs would be available once again for a limited time during a 50% off sale. On October 23, 2018, all founders packs were returned and were on sale until November 6, 2018. These packs returned once again on December 19, 2018 - they were available until January 8, 2019. Once again, on February 6, 2019, the packs returned until mid-February. These packs returned again on April 12, 2019.
