Fracture was a Live Event in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was the concluding Live Event for Chapter 3: Season 4 and Chapter 3 in its entirety.

The Herald (Bloom Watcher) - Behavior - Fortnite

The Zero Point has gone dormant. The Herald of the Nothing unleashed Chrome over the island, consuming everything in its path to the Reality Tree. The Paradigm, Jones and AMIE have to come up with a plan to wake the Zero Point up before the inevitable end of reality.

On November 22, 2022, the countdown appeared in the Lobby, and promotional art was released with chunks of the island sucked into Chrome Tornadoes.

Event Summary[]

The event opens up with a cinematic scene; As the island is being consumed by chrome and group of loopers are fighting The Herald at the fortified Reality Tree. Despite their efforts, The Herald fuses with the Reality Tree and Chromes the entire island. This result in the destruction of Artemis (and Apollo off-screen); Leaving only The Zero Point remaining. The Zero Point is awake and begins to grab all surviving pieces of the island back together before going back to dormant mode again.

With the help of Amie and The Paradigm; they are able to restore the zero point. She then activates Zero Fusion and The Zero Point fuses the part of the island together forming most of Asteria.

List of Interactable Objectives[]

To restore The Zero Point into a usable state the players were tasked with various objectives layed out all around the floating fragments of The Island. These include:

Chromified Paradox Sprouts that when interacted, will Ping any nearby Zero Point Fragment.
Multiple LTM Exclusive Characters are scattered around the island chunks each with a different objective to obtaining a Zero Point Fragment from (Ex: Slushy Soldier requires a Sneaky Snowman, an IO Guard requires the Order Remnant Outfit/Disguise).
Boulders that can be dislodged and must be guided towards Vases.
Time Trials which require the player to reach a certain location to earn a Zero Point Fragment.
Stargazer Telescopes which were used to search for chunks of the island for Fragments.
Bounty Boards instruct players to find another player and throw a Snowman Snowball at them.
Certain Glitchy Props that require another copy of the prop to be matched (Ex: Flamingos or Coolers).
Memory Event Pieces that when interacted would show a flashback to what Past Live Event it was associated with (Ex: The Rocket = Blast Off - The End, Mecha Rex Arm=The Final Showdown - Collision)
Hologram Projectors that require the player to be or hold a certain item for activation, some requiring more players to work together to complete the request (Ex: Chicken, Tire Transform)
Peely Party Stages require players to Emote together to light up torches to earn a Fragment.

Trivia[]

This event was created using the Unreal Editor.
The event's codename is "Radish".
This is the first chapter-ending event not named "The End".
This event is the longest so far, excluding Unplayable Periods, being thirty minutes in length.
Fracture was first announced on November 13th 2022 during Day 2 of the 2022 FNCS Invitational, as a special announcement before the final game began.
- Prior to the official reveal, a mysterious figure, most likely The Herald, stated "You can't win." before distorting and revealing the event.
This is the third event to include a Unique Ready-Up Sequence. Others were Live at Risky Reels and Collision.
This event has the most teasers for it. As it has a total of 12 including pictures and videos.
There was a deleted scene that was cutout from the event that was made public.^[1]
- In the scene a Last Reality Ship arrives to abducts The Zero Point after the island's destruction, but The Zero Point destroys the ship from the inside and is seen fleeing from it whilst being chased by three Chrome Blobs.

	Either these coordinates are wrong or we are far from home.
	THE PARADIGM: Home is gone.
	THE PARADIGM: You and the team need to restore the Zero Point before anyone realizes how vulnerable we are.
	AMIE: How do you expect us to do that?
	THE PARADIGM: Figure it out. Zero Fusion won't be possible until the Zero Point has completely recovered.
	AMIE: Well, you heard The Paradigm.
	We need to find a way to restore the Zero Point.
	AMIE: Zero Point energy is spiking!
	THE PARADIGM: Whatever you're doing is working. Keep it up.
	AMIE: Okay everyone! Find and collect all of the Zero Fragments!
	AMIE: Scans indicate some of the Zero Fragments may be hiding.
	You'll have to coax them out. Search everywhere. Try everything.
	Do whatever you need to find them.
	THE PARADIGM: AMIE, status report.
	AMIE: The Zero Point's energy signature is recovering quickly.
	THE PARADIGM: Good.
	Prepare my suit for fusion, and disconnect.
	THE PARADIGM: One of us has to survive.
	AMIE: Disconnect?
	AMIE: What-- what do you mean?
	THE PARADIGM: You'll see.
	AMIE: A new part of the Island has arrived!
	You'd better keep that sand out of my ports.
	AMIE: I wonder if Durrr Burger's drive-through computer is still mad at me...
	AMIE: We've got Durrr Burger, people!
	AMIE: Space beef!
	AMIE: Bushranger is bothering me, and I'm too busy to deal with him.
	AMIE: The bush monster wants you. Still not sure why that's my problem, but apparently it is.
	AMIE: Check in with Bushranger, and tell him to LEAVE ME ALONE.

	Now it's up to The Paradigm...
	AMIE: Another piece of the Island.
	This is more than we hoped for... but it isn't enough...
