Chapter 6: Mini Season 1, mostly referred to by its slogan Galactic Battle, alternatively known as Chapter 6: Season MS1 or Season 35, is the thirty-fifth season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. It began on May 2nd 2025 and will conclude on June 7th 2025.

The entire season is a collaboration with Star Wars, with the theme centered around an invasion by the Galactic Empire.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Chapter VI, Season MS1 I

GALACTIC BATTLE

A new world has been unleashed! With the aid of the cunning BARON FLETCHER KANE and the MASK MAKER DAIGO has opened a portal to the mysterious SPIRIT REALM — convinced he alone can save of ONINOSHIMA.

Though THE LOOPER fought valiantly to stop them, their efforts were in vain; once the Baron was defeated, the Mask Maker abandoned his ally and crossed the threshold... but the DARKNESS within the Spirit Realm twisted him, corrupting his being and transforming him into a powerful demon.

Meanwhile, the Island drew the gaze of a dark force from beyond the stars. From the shadows of the Galaxy, an evil emperor advances — bringing with him the ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Its destination: Oninoshima. Its purpose: total domination...

Story

I: Imperial Takeover

An all-out war erupts in the skies above Oninoshima, with Rebel forces clashing with Imperial Star Destroyers as the Death Star looms far away in space. Both the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire established bases on the Island, with Rey and Emperor Palpatine appearing as holograms to recruit the Island's inhabitants to their respective causes through Rift Gates.

Hidden data entries reveal that Palpatine had pinned his interest in the "junk" scattered across the Island. The Rebellion finds themselves outgunned and overwhelmed by the Empire, forcing them to come up with a plan for a counteroffensive, and fast.

II: The Pull of the Force

Leia Organa recruits The Looper to investigate the motive behind the Empire's attack on the Island, leading them to a secret Imperial cache hidden away in the mountains. The Looper collects the data there and returns to Leia with the information. She informs The Looper to start gathering allies in preparation for an immediate counterattack. In the meanwhile, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo also arrive on the Island to recruit and train allies as Chewbacca battles Stormtroopers on the ground, while Jar Jar Binks provides a morale boost to the Clone Troopers situated there.

III: Mandalorian Rising

A squadron of warriors from the planet of Mandalore arrive on the Island in search of evidence that would prove the disloyalty of their latest associates. The Looper is recruited to scour Imperial Outposts on their behalf, where they discover that the associates had allied with the Empire and are plotting to betray the Mandalorians. Their suspicions validated, the Mandalorians consider working with new associates.

Meanwhile, the Spirit Realm Portal that was destroyed during the Confrontation Event mysteriously reconstructed and reactivated itself.

Galactic Battle Pass

The Battle Pass, for this season named the Galactic Battle Pass, costs 1,000 V-Bucks, with an additional 10-level boost being offered for 1,750 V-Bucks with the Battle Pass Bundle. Fortnite Crew subscribers immediately unlock the Battle Pass alongside the OG Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO® Pass. Battle Pass levels require 80,000  or up to 40 rewards can be claimed for 150 V-Bucks each, with the first 10 levels being discounted by 50%.

Like Chapter 4: Season OG's OG Pass and Chapter 2 Remix's Remix Pass, the standard Battle Pass has 50 rewards.

Map Updates

Update v35.00 (May 2nd 2025)

The Death Star has arrived at the Island, appearing very large on the horizon. Several Imperial Star Destroyers are around the Island, surrounded by battling TIE Fighters and X-Wings. Four new Star Wars themed Named Locations have been added, separated in each corner of the Island:

• First Order Base (replacing Demon's Dojo)
• Outpost Enclave (replacing Hopeful Heights)
• Resistance Base (replacing Whiffy Wharf)
• Vader Samurai's Solitude (replacing Shogun's Solitude)

Some Landmarks were added, removed, or updated:

• Several Outposts have been added around the Island.
  • Republic Outposts are scattered around the southeast corner of the Island.
  • Rebel Outposts are scattered around the northwest corner of the Island.
  • Imperial Outposts are scattered around the southwest corner of the Island.
  • First Order Outposts are scattered around the northeast corner of the Island.
• An AT-AT site has appeared on the mountains southeast of Brutal Boxcars, becoming a restaurant for all kinds of foods, called eAT-eAT.
• A small rebel table has appeared on the small island northwest of Fightin' Frogs and the Frog Family are now wearing rebel helmets.
• The side of the wall beside the waterfall of Canyon Crossing has collapsed, leaving a destructible rock pile leading into a small cave.
• The Train has been changed back to its previous design.
• The underground mining area of Shiny Shafts has caved in and became inaccessible.
• The vault door in Lonewolf Lair has been removed and the vault has been emptied.
• Two of the golden wolf statues in Outlaw Oasis and the hidden trapdoor have been removed, making the secret room underneath inaccessible.
• The large pickle growing in the Kappa Kappa Factory has disappeared.
• The Crime City Bank, Seaport City Bank, and Masked Motorway Bank have all been demolished.
  • Seaport City Bank and Masked Motorway Bank have been replaced with construction sites while only a bunch of sinkholes remain in place of Crime City Bank.
• All three Black Markets have been closed down, with their entryways being blocked off and made unbreakable.
• Mine Entrance 1, Mine Entrance 2, and Mine Entrance 3 have all caved in and became inaccessible.
• All Smash N' Grab Jewelry Stores have been ransacked and emptied.
• The Pit, The Living Forest, and The Dead Pool were removed, with Sleepwalker's Camp replacing The Living Forest.
  • All the underground tunnels in Masked Meadows have been redirected back to Daigo's Workshop.
• The Spirit Realm Portal at Magic Mosses has been destroyed.
• Forecast Towers now are guarded by squads of Imperial Stormtroopers lead by AWR Troopers.

• Darth Vader and his Lambda-Class Shuttle now randomly appear between three different locations:
  • Vader Samurai's Solitude.
  • The Imperial Outpost in front of the Big Bend.
  • The Imperial Outpost east of Foxy Floodgate.

• Mark Rein's teaser word for Galactic Battle was "Apprentice."
• Galactic Battle is the third season to feature only collaborations in its Battle Pass.
  • All three of them were collaborations with a Disney-owned property, with Chapter 2: Season 4 and Chapter 5: Season 4 being collaborations with Marvel.
• Galactic Battle was first announced during Star Wars Celebration LIVE! 2025 - DAY 3.
• Galactic Battle is the second season to be advertised to only by its slogan, the first was Chapter 2 Remix.
  • It is also the first to be internally referred to as a mini-season.
• According to survey of May 10th 2025 asking for what people think is the official season name, Epic is considering that Galactic Battle may be Chapter 6: Season 3, with 4 of the 8 possible answers referring to it a such.
  • Of the eight answers, none match the advertised title. However, two of them contain the term Galactic Battle: the first is "Fortnite Star Wars: Galactic Battle", the second is "Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3: Star Wars Galactic Battle".

• The opening shot of the cinematic trailer for Galactic Battle is a reference to the opening shot of Star Wars (1977).
• Galactic Battle is the first and currently only season in which all Ammo types and the Ammo Box were vaulted, as every firearm in the season are blasters with unlimited ammunition.
  • It's also the only season to vault all the previous season's weapons
