Geysers, also known as Volcano Vents, are a Gameplay Mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were introduced in Season 8.

Overview

Geysers are indestructible objects located at multiple locations and allow players to be launched into the air to use the Glider Redeploy feature. Since Chapter 3: Season 3, it takes some time until they burst out air and launch players. Prior to that, and in Creative, Geysers are always active and launch players into the air instantly.

Chapter 6: Season 1

• Open-Air Onsen
• West of Demon's Dojo

Chapter 3: Season 3

• Geysers were spread across the Reality Bloom Biome.

Season 8

• Geysers were spread across the Tropical Biome.

History

• Update v8.00: Introduced. Added to Athena.
• Update v9.00: Most Geysers have gone dormant, except the ones near the Pressure Plant.
• Update v10.00: All Geysers have gone dormant.
• The End: Volcano Vents were sucked into a black hole.
• Update v21.00: Geysers were added to Artemis.
• Update v33.00: Geysers were added to Oninoshima.
