Default Glider
The Glider is a Fortnite: Battle Royale item that players use while jumping off the Battle Bus.
Use
Players deploy the glider after jumping off the Battle Bus by pressing space (X on PlayStation 4, A on Xbox One, B on Nintendo Switch, Space Bar on PC), while Skydiving.
The Glider lets players fly slowly and with more control, as opposed to Skydiving.
- The Glider will deploy automatically once close enough to the ground.
- Players can switch between gliding and Skydiving at any time prior to landing.
- It is best to Skydive for as long as possible, as Skydiving is faster than gliding, and it will get players to the landing point quicker.
Glider Re-Deploy can be used in larger team modes and the Playground Limited Time Mode. It only activates the Glider; skydiving will not be available. Outside of the team modes and Playground, players may still redeploy using Launch Pads or Rifts, though the forced redeploy height is 35 meters when skydiving.
Skins
Several skins are available for the Glider. These have no impact on the Glider's function and are purely cosmetic. They can be purchased in the Item Shop using V-Bucks or earned through various challenges.

- The re-deployable glider was introduced into solo, duo, and squads in Season 6. It however, was just a test done by Epic Games and is no longer in the game.
