Gliders are an item in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Season 7.
Functionality[]
Gliders allow the player to redeploy their glider after falling a certain height. This negates fall damage and increases movement speed. The redeployed glider functions identically to other gliders. When one redeploy is used, a glider is deducted from the stack.
Obtained[]
Gliders could have been found in the standard ways, mainly floor loot and in chests. It could also be found in Supply Llamas and Supply Drops.

Season 7[]
- Update v7.20: Introduced the Glider as an item in Rare rarity. Players are now given a 50 Glider stack in their inventory upon exiting the Battle Bus in Team Rumble.
Season X[]
- Update v10.00: Vaulted the Glider. Remains in Team Rumble.
Chapter 2: Season 1[]
- Update v11.20: Updated the Icon for the Glider item to the new Chapter 2 Glider icon.
Chapter 2: Season 2[]
- Update v12.00: Removed the Glider from Team Rumble, Glider Redeploy is now default for the mode.
Chapter 4: Season OG[]
- Update v27.10: Unvaulted the Glider.
- Update v27.11 Hotfix: Vaulted the Glider.

Trivia[]
- Itemized Gliders were introduced as a resolution to a game balance dilemma for Battle Royale. Prior to the inclusion, various modes had Glider Redeploy enabled as default, without an item. After this was scrapped, the Itemized Glider was introduced.
- Prior to Chapter 2: Season 2, Gliders existed in Team Rumble in stacks of 50 in the player's inventory after exiting the Battle Bus. They could have been dropped but would not stack back to 50. Without them, the player could not redeploy their glider.
- This also meant players who wanted to redeploy their glider had to forfeit an inventory slot to accommodate the Gliders.
- Prior to Chapter 2: Season 1, the Gliders' icon was the default Chapter 1 glider.
- The current Gliders' icon is the default Chapter 2 glider. It has not been updated since.
