Chapter Seven: Pacific Break kicks off a new era for Fortnite Battle Royale, where some of the greatest stories are told — the Golden Coast.
— Fortnite

The Golden Coast, also known under the codename Hera, is the Fortnite: Battle Royale Island used in Chapter 7. The codename continues the trend of internally naming the map after Greek Deities beginning with 'H'.

Storyline[]

Zero Hour's Outcome[]

After the events of Zero Hour, the Zero Shard rifted everyone and itself to a new reality, known as the Golden Coast. Filled with parties, celebrities, and other forms of fun, it was a perfect paradise. This all changed when a miniature Cube Cradle (Not the same as the giant one seen in The Chapter 2 End Event) showed up and destroyed the Battle Bus. Piloting this ship, was The Dark Voyager, a new threat sent from The Last Reality.

Chapter 7: Season 1[]

Following The Battle of Oninoshima, The Order visited Reality: 783 to analyze the aftermath when she received a distress signal sent out by Jones. She follows his lead to the Golden Coast, where she finds an intense concentration of Zero Point energy on the Island and discovers that someone had been tampering with The Storm. She is also made aware about an unknown entity that is also chasing the Zero Point Shards, but with The Seven fragmented and scattered, she is unable to do much. As she infiltrates a tech company as part of a plan to contact the rest of The Seven, The Order finds henchmen working for the Dark Voyager, who she suspects is connected to the Last Reality. However, she is forced to abort the mission. The Order tries to leave a message behind for Jones, but it is cut off.
