Chapter 5 Island, also known under the code-name Helios, was the Fortnite: Battle Royale map that is the used in Chapter 5 (Chapter 5: Season 1 to Chapter 5: Season 4). It was created after The Zero Point unleashed galaxies each containing endless realities. The name breaks the trend of naming the map after Greek Deities beginning with 'A'.
Storyline[]
The Big Bang created galaxies full of countless realities, with one of them containing Helios, a new world home to European architecture, boreal forests, mountain range decked with snow, mythological ruins, a Titan imprisoned beneath the island and wealthy descendants of gods ruling the island.
Following the opening of Pandora's Box, Mount Olympus and The Underworld appeared on the island, destroying Hazy Hillside and Ritzy Riviera. Mythological ruins around the Island were restored, including Ruined Reels, now named Restored Reels.
During his wrath, Zeus used the statue at Mount Olympus to strike Pandora's Box three times with lightning. With each strike, the orb started to fill up with an orange liquid substance called Nitro, which that unleash across the island, and on the last strike, the orb broke free, travelling south from the mainland, and crashed into a distant desert island. Upon impact, a Sandstorm Event formed and started heading towards Helios, bringing the Wastelanders along with it. The sandstorm eventually made landfall, transforming the southern part of the island into a Wasteland separated into two parts: Nitro Wasteland Biome and a Mesa Biome south of Restored Reels.
After sabotaging Megalo Don's pipeline, triggering a big explosion in The Wasteland revealing Pandora's Box again, The Wanderer, who revealed to be Doctor Doom stole all of the powers of the box, before summoning The Raft from Reality: 616 to rescue like-minded villains like Meowtooth, Emma Frost and Mysterio and make them join his army as he want to create his world of perfect order. He then summoned Latveria, with Castle Doom and Doomstadt in the north of the Island, bringing a new Biome, the Forged Forest. In the meantime Magneto's Rift Beacon summoned a lot of Marvel Heroes, including Avengers, X-Men and many others to support The Underground and stop Doom.
After defeating Doctor Doom and sending him back to Reality 616 along with the power of the Pandora's Box, finally freeing the island from its evils. The Rift Beacons that were damaged in the event start to malfunction resulting in Reckless Railways and Brawler's Battleground being taken over by Ultima Carver and Billy (in their respective locations) or Fortnitemares 2024 with some part of the island being taken over by pumpkins.
During Remix: The Prelude, the activation of the broken rift beacon would result in the entire population of Helios being rifted into an alternate version of Apollo, leaving Helios inaccessible to players, but as mentioned in Hope's audio log tapes, it's Habitable but extremely damaged, leaving Hope to tell her sister, Valeria to help rebuild the island to its former state.

Update v28.00 (December 3rd 2023)[]
Introduced the Helios map featuring 11 new named locations including:
- Classy Courts
- Fencing Fields
- Grand Glacier
- Hazy Hillside

- Loot Island has been changed to be made of Ice and have Crackshot's Cabin on it.
- Hazy Hillside, Grand Glacier, Classy Courts & Ritzy Riviera have been updated with Christmas trees and lights.
- Sewers have been updated with TMNT designs on them.
- The boreal forest located on the northern part of the island is covered in snow for the Winterfest 2023 event.

- Some exploration gear was added near the water west of Ruined Reels, including an opened book with an image of Pandora's Box and a telescope pointed towards the named location.
- The Zenith Wall has melted more, causing the plane to drop into the water below it.
Update v28.30 Hotfix (February 27th 2024)[]
- Cracks have bulged out of the ground at the Exploration site near the water west of Ruined Reels.
- Small Caldera formed along with the earthquake.
- Earthquakes are happening every hour.
- February 29th 2024 (3:00 PM ET): A large explosion started happening with every quake.
- The Caldera slowly started to grow with every quake.
- February 29th 2024 (12:00 PM ET): The 1st crack has filled with lava.
- March 1st 2024 (9:00 AM ET): The 2nd crack has filled with lava.

- 2:00 PM ET: The Mount Olympus statue raised its sword and threw a blue lightning bolt at the Pandora's Box, causing the orb to start filling up.

Trivia[]
- Helios is the name of a Greek "Titan God". He is the personification of the Sun, a guardian of oaths and also the god of sight.
- Apollo is also known as a Greek "God" of the Sun.
- Helios is the second Island that isn't named after a Greek deity starting with the letter "A". The first being Papaya, but it is the first Battle Royale Map for it.
- Due to being a map for Battle Royale, the naming chain has been broken. Starting a new naming chain with "H".
- Helios terrain and shape shares some similar details to Apollo.
- Helios is the second Island to not feature a returning Named Location. However, a version of The Yacht did return as a landmark in addition to props and items from previous chapters.
- Helios is the first island to not add Crackshot's Cabin as a Landmark for Winterfest, instead adding it to Loot Island.
- Most of the named locations of Helios are based on European-style architecture, mostly Greek, French, Italian, British and Spanish.
- The Train Station of Helios are in several European languages.
- Grand Station's announcements are in Greek.
- Riviera Station and Snooty Station's announcements are in French.
- Estate Station, Forest Station and Latverian Station's announcements are in German.
- Orchard Station's announcements are in Italian.
- Underworld Station's announcements are the only ones to not be in any language, being instead screams of pain coming from the souls.
- Helios is, as of Chapter 2 Remix, the first Island to not be a reformation of previous Island(s) and to not be in Reality Zero.
- Oninoshima is the second.
- Helios is, as of Chapter 6: Season 1, the first and only Island that was confirmed to still be habitable and inhabited after The Looper, along with other characters, have left it.
